Hi

I'm in again. Hoping for a repeat of last weeks success. I could do with it as we were away for our anniversary and had a great time at the coast. only downside was the eating out and drinks have undone most of last weeks weight loss. Never mind, we had a great time and it was needed.

Anyway back to fasting today and so far so good.

Fingers crossed. :clover:
I'm in today. Have been doing a kind of relaxed 16:8 while in maintenance but my new scales have put me 2lbs above my target weight so I think a fast is in order. Have started running again after a period of inaction so that may help too. Feeling very hungry already though which is not usual as I don't normally eat before 1 or 2pm anyhow.

Same @LouLou51 my mind is playing tricks on me.
Got the big guns out now.......oxo cube. Hope that helps.
I am back today. I seem to have achieved nothing in past 7 weeks but chase the same pound up and down over the week. I suppose this is maintenance mode. Now I dare not abandon the two days for fear of consequences tho tempted. I think I am managing the fast days but the other days let me down. I could do more exercise also :( . Maybe I will go read up on 4:3?

Poor Sallyo... these things come in threes!
Thank Cobham. It's bedtime for me now and I've got through the day. Just when you think your fast days are easy, they get hard again. Keep on keeping on everyone in the west.
I'm in for my first fast day in a long time! I've never really given this plan a good go, but I'm ready to get serious! I've managed to maintain my loss to date, but it's time to lose the last bit.

Not sure I'll stay at 500 calories since I do a strenuous boot camp workout in the morning that burns between 500 & 600 cals. Lots of green tea and black coffee & water in my future!

Congrats to all of you who have made it thru your fast day Monday and props to those of you with hours to go(like me!)
hi all, im in today, its my 3rd week! For the first 2 weeks i ate the same and today I having something different. My menu today:
Breakfast: 0
Lunch: Home made veg soup 100c
Dinner: 3 Weight watchers sausage (180c) poached egg (74c) 2 jumbo mushrooms (46c) = 300c
Supper: French fries crisps (84c) few diet pepsi (6c)
Total for day 490.

Does anyone else find a contradiction to calories when you google something? I have found so many different calories for mushrooms, so I have tried to get an average and working on 100g mushroom to be approx 37 calories. I also know the calories change once grilled, and its the same with tomatoes and other fruit and veg. I try so hard to be accurate, what does everyone else do when they find a contradiction in calories??
Made it to 3.30 didn't think I would. Busy busy just keep busy.
Im here again today. I also fasted yesterday. Its just gone 3pm here and I hsd to give in to have a light lunch as I had the shakes. I also had 5 egg whites left from this mornings adventure into making lemon curd. So, egg white and spinach omlet came in at about 175cals. Im still shakey though. Perhaps I over did the coffee.

Dia duit @cobham, fellow Paddy! Like you, the feast days let me down. I put on 4lbs last week, so had to squeeze in a third fast yesterday. (My weeks start on Mondays.)
Good to see you ready to get serious @Lori. Enjoy bootcamp. I manage to run most of my fadt days, but only first thing in the morning. I reckon I still have energy from the previous evenings dinner!
@Susan8 I use my fitness pal to gauge calories, but there is a huge variation alright. I prefer grammes to cup measures, so I look for that. I also use the barcode scanner to find the exact brand, when possible. For fruit and veg I try to go by raw weight, but add any cooking oils or sauces seperately. Even so, there are usually several listings, but in general the listings are similar, so I try to pick the average one. A few cals either way shouldnt make a difference as weighing scales and/or cup measures would slso vary a bit.
@Geekycat and @Carieoates, how are the headaches? Hope you are holding up.
Oh dear @Sallyo, hope your carpet is ok and your bad day is over!
Thanks for greeting Scubachick! I find a salt fix of a Bovril drink sorts me around lunchtime especially as if I am heading out. I only like my coffee as a latte so that means no coffee on fast days. This is the hard time when I find myself clockwatching from c 4 pm on wards. Time to get the ironing board set up :)
Started first fast day ever just black coffee and water so far, feel ok so far, even helped make some fairy cakes n no bowl picking
It's noon here and I am enjoying my fast so far. But not my weight, which is pretty much what it was last week at this time. I have been fasting conscientiously, but eating too much on the other days.

OTOH, I don't want to get into obsessing about everything I eat on non-fast days. That was what I started fasting to avoid. So if I stall out at my current weight, that will be that. I'm a few pounds below my original goal, so that's not too shabby.

Well done you. I made cookies. Had an oxo and then this as I'm out soon to an early exercise class. 290 cals give or take.
@samandannamae welcome to the forum, you have done very well for your first fast. It is all a case of mind over matter. Hope the rest of the day goes well for you. :clover: :victory:
@Sallyo, please no more mishaps especially on fast days! :clover:
