I must admit I'm really looking forward to today's fast - last week I skipped my first Thursday fast since I started. And while I tried to make healthy food choices while supervising camp and was on my feet for most of it (except when I was abseiling or being hoisted up on high ropes! ) I came back with a surprising 2kg gain on the scales! The stress of starting to move house this weekend is probably not helping, nor will the takeaway meals that inevitable ensue when many of the cooking supplies are in boxes in different locations! So while I know the scales will settle down in the long run, I'm thinking that I need my fast today so that I feel like I'm still on track even if the scales won't play ball. Ah well, with any luck, all this hefting around of heavy boxes ought to be building a little bit of muscle!
