I know Mondays are a popular day to fast - so let's throw our hats in the ring (or at least posts in the thread!) and join in the fast day today!

I must admit I'm really looking forward to today's fast - last week I skipped my first Thursday fast since I started. And while I tried to make healthy food choices while supervising camp and was on my feet for most of it (except when I was abseiling or being hoisted up on high ropes! ) I came back with a surprising 2kg gain on the scales! The stress of starting to move house this weekend is probably not helping, nor will the takeaway meals that inevitable ensue when many of the cooking supplies are in boxes in different locations! So while I know the scales will settle down in the long run, I'm thinking that I need my fast today so that I feel like I'm still on track even if the scales won't play ball. Ah well, with any luck, all this hefting around of heavy boxes ought to be building a little bit of muscle!

Have a great day, and may the fast be with you!
My hat's in. A productive fast to all! :clover:
My husband and I will be joining you tomorrow. Good luck if you have already started your fast day! Make it a good one!
I'm in. Looking forward to a busy day, house cleaning. Terrific! Tonight we're having chicken breast in a noodle,(soba) soup with mushrooms and bok chou. Lots of time to fill in until them. Have a good day everyone.
I'm here  @PeonyBlue I bet you lose weight moving house, it's hard work!
@Sallyo house cleaning - blergh - feels good when it's done though.
I feel like I'm catching a cold, both my parents are sick with a nasty one so I blame the  I'm willing it away though fingers crossed.
Happy fasting all.
I'll be joining you once again when its Monday here. Happy fasting, all!
I am in today, 11am and already struggling - not a good start to the week!
I'm in. Though it's cold again in Melbourne I've spent am hour in the garden. When I've finished noodling on the 'puter I'll join Sallyo in doing housework. Oh joy!
I'm in, first of 3 a week for the next two weeks. DH is out of town on business, so I can cook & eat, when & what I like. I'm looking forward to enjoying the last couple of weeks with my kids before they go back to school. Happy fasting all, I hope you all have a strong & successful fast today.
I was intending to fast today, and may still... Weighted myself for the first time after 7 weeks away and the weight is up a little, %body fat more so... I fasted on Sat, and don't really feel like it today, but will see how I go.

As Chook says, cool here in Melb, bit damp in the garden for me, but I still have stacks to do re unpacking, cleaning the van etc - did six large loads of washing yesterday, half on the line yesterday, the rest today - it half dries in the 4 hours of sunlight which is all it gets in winter. And I also could do some house cleaning - young adult sons' idea of cleaning and mine differ somewhat...!!!

Best wishes for successful fasts! :D
Hi everyone!
It's cool here in Sydney too but I still managed my laps-head down, dive in, go as fast as you can!
I'm not feeling quite right in the tummy today actually so I'm just having some soft pear and half a yoghurt which is unusual for me on a fast day, but I will continue on and keep within my 420 or so cals- hopefully!
Veges and fruit for dinner as usual.
Hope the day goes well for all.
Having a bad day. No sooner had I made my earlier entry than I dropped my full cup of black coffee onto the carpet! I need to get over it. Hope you are soon feeling better gigi55.
Oh dear Sallyo, black coffee on what colour carpet??

I am persevering with the fast today as I worked out I have put on 3lbs of FAT in 6 weeks - not surprising given what I ate while away (haven't updated my progress tracker; haven't in ages...) unlike OH who LOST 7lbs cos he ate less than when he is at home and exercised more...

I am feeling reasonably motivated, but it is still 4 hours til dinner...
My hats in the ring. . I'm a seasoned faster and usually don't get hungry most days till 2 or 3 pm but on fast days not till 4 or 5 pm. Today I was hungry from9.30 which never happens. It was an uncomfortable hunger pain that didn't go away for hours. ( usually hunger is just a wave that comes and visits for 10 minutes then goes away for ages) I told myself I could have a tuna sushi roll as long as I wait till 1 pm so that's what I did. I wonder why this has happened. Maybe because I've had an unusually high carb weekend? Good luck everyone!
Xxx julianna
I just remembered! I was at my gyno doc this morning and the results of my general blood work was all good! ( except cholesterol was 5.6 when 5.5 is normal but that didn't seem too bad) so I was really happy.
Fawn carpet, Sassy1. Then I went into town to get a present for my sister's birthday - tomorrow - and found the shop where I had finally decided to buy a present - after a lot of angst as she is one of those people who have every thing, wasn't open on Mondays. It's a BAD DAY. Anyway home, and I've cleaned the mould off the spare room walls and it came off really easily, just with a wipe of the cloth, so that was the first good thing. Feeling insanely hungry. After OH has finished vacuuming the lounge I'm going to do the ironing - a huge pile, and watch Great Expectations on I-View while I'm doing it. That should keep me occupied until it is time to get dinner. All ingredients laid out ready to go.
