Im in today as yesterdays fast went a bit pear shaped

So far so good and lovely weather for a walk which always makes it easier for me

I'm in!
I hope I do as well as all you lot that didn't fall off the wagon like I seem to have done!
:clover:
I'm in today. I have my fingers crossed that this time next week I will be packing my bag to go into hospital. So this week I am going to have a deep cleanse (I need it, my skin is awful at the moment). As far as possible I will be doing 3 fasts this week and going grain free. I have bee a bit of a pig where bread, pasta and pastries are concerned which is reflected in the condition of my skin.
Dinner tonight is a steak with veg. The food for this week is going to be special all week because I have been told I will be on soups for at least a week up to a month after my operation. So its hearty meals for the condemned woman all week.

@Lizloss try going 16:8 for the rest of the week to make up for a burger tonight.
I'm in for my usual Monday. I've been to aquajog which I have just discovered and really enjoy. Need to plan tonight's dinner and do some shopping . And then the garden is calling for help
If it's Monday I'm in, I am clearing out my utility room in preperation for decorating so the time is passing well and I am not missing food. Hope you all have an easy day. :clover:
Don't be disheartened @loversghost, the scales can never show the whole story, I've had several periods where the scales just haven't moved for weeks despite my having done some really good fasts, and then just when I'm not expecting it a couple more pounds drop off.

And don't dwell on your mini-blowout (actually 2200 cals doesn't sound bad at all!) -Monday and Thursday are my usual fasts but last Thursday for some reason I felt really weedy and tired and hungry, and when my OH walked in we decided to go round the pub for a slap up brunch and a drink (at 6pm!) We have to ease up on ourselves sometimes! Stick with it and you'll feel better about it soon :) :clover: :clover:
Hello everyone!

It has been a while since I've been on the boards. I successfully followed 5:2 for months before Christmas, but around the holiday lost my focus. I'm back now and am finding it super difficult to get back into the swing of things. I'm cruising the boards for inspiration, but would love any advice. I'm not sure why I'm finding the WOE difficult now, where I did not find it so before. I'm totally frustrated and any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh, and I'm fasting today. :clover:
Good luck to all my fellow fasters and Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!
Me too @mikesgrl79 I'm exactly the same I put a stone on since I last stopped too tut!

I keep thinking if I can have a run of good fasts I can gain more control but it's tough for some reason.

Fasting today and soo far liquids only, let's hope its a success today I need it!

Good luck all fasters
Hey Chocobunny,

Yep. Me too. I keep telling myself I'll feel much better after a couple good weeks of fasting...maybe I'm putting too much pressure on myself. But my 35th birthday is swiftly approaching so I'm going to use that as a goal date in order to start some better habits back up. I would just like to feel more in control and healthier, and I KNOW that this WOE is a way to achieve both. Good luck and thanks for the camaraderie.
I'm in today and for some reason I'm absolutely freezing today :( I'm normally chilly on a fasting day (unlike the rest of the time when I'm like a cooker!) but today I'm frozen. Off to put the kettle on again I think.

On a more positive note, I got all my work trousers out this morning, and they're all too big! I'm living in a couple of pairs of jeans with a belt until I settle at a new weight :)
I'm in. Had my egg-in-a-mug for breakfast and am planning a shrimp quesadilla with veggies on the side for dinner. I really want to eat something right now, not because I'm particularly hungry, but because I'm a little stressed. But, this WOE is good, because it prevents me from resorting to food! Not really sure what to do instead though!
Hello all fasters

Slightly late checking in but have been fasting alongside you all today and very much looking forwward to my pepper mackerel salad for dinner tonight.
It's pretty chilly today and I am tired after a lovely weekend away and craving carbs but done so well until now and I am not giving in!!

Hey @mikesgrl79 and @Chocobunny why don't you two buddy up and give each other support? I fell off the waggon a bit from end December but now firmly back on and have had lots of support from my fasting buddy @lizbean and it is very helpful!!

And I am also very swiftly approaching 35 - my 34th birthday last year was my trigger to find a new sustainable way to be healthy - here I am!!

Good luck all :clover:
I'm having Chicken parmigiana with courgette(zucchini) spaghetti. First time I have had the chicken thing so will let you all know. Mine came in at 343 but the recipe http://uk.lifestyle.yahoo.com/feasting- ... 00469.html she reckons she does it for 300. My chicken was bigger but I used less aubergine(eggplant) and added mushroom. I also as was making for two used just 1 shallot and 3 cloves of garlic.
Im late checking in today, but I'm fasting with you. It's been a funny fast day. Kids were all excited being in the St . Patrick's parade. They got loads of treats. I usually choose something with max nutrients and min cals for my fast day foods but today it was 2 pints of stout, along with spinach and an egg    I am just over the 500k.
