Good luck Wildmissus on your first day in your new job.
My OH & I are fasting today & he has gone back to work to his schedule of four weeks working & four weeks off. I have completed some floor exercises working on my stomach & thighs & am really beginning to panic that I won't be able to lose much weight or inches in the next two & a half weeks. The dress I am wearing to my sons wedding is still a little tight & I'm 4:3ing until then & eating soups & salads with little carbs on eating days.
Two holidays & an indulgent anniversary celebration four days in the last six weeks have not helped, although I have already lost the weight gained then. I am just hoping my body won't rebel & plateau with more fasting & eating much less.
Good morning all

I'm in today as well. Already struggling after a weekend of excess. Anyway I shall be good.

Good luck to all :clover:

At Wildmissus - good luck with your new job. Hope you have a lovely day
I'm fasting today, as I have a bowel screening this afternoon (with all that entails) and it seemed like a good day to abstain.
Good luck to everyone :clover:
I am also fasting today like all of you. And it is rainy here, which was much needed, too. My last fast I did not loose any weight. How weird is that!! Never happened before. So today I am only having black tea and coffee ( I used to put a little milk and water in before). I will skip my afternoon snack. Maybe just have milk with my afternoon tea. Tonight eating a Greek Salad from Mimi's Cook Book. Trying to be ever so good. Went for a walk this morning and it didn't rain on me. Tomorrow will show some results, I hope.
I ' m in too x Good luck everybody!@SianS hope the screening is done with quickly and all is ok xx
Bit late but I'm in for the usual Monday fast. I am so COOOOOOLLLLDDDD. Just can't get warm today at all - and it is 'supposed' to be summer.Ha! But then I am frequently freezing these days.

Anyhow good luck to all.
Oh berlimey! Just wrote a message and then had to resubmit my password...and then lost the whole blimmin thing :curse:

Anyway, just wanted to say I'm in today after a weekend of my favourite things!

Hope all is good with you Monday fasters

Bean :starving:
At loversghost

I know how you feel. Every fast day I can't get warm but today is extreme. Sitting here wrapped up like its deepest winter.
I'm in today, still in the zone even thought I'm not really losing on the scale, it's all good. Feeling a bit hungry now but have a lot to keep me busy this afternoon so it should be easy enough.
Hello newbies @raggy and @Newmanfor2015 good luck and what a good idea, I'll have one if they're giving them out ;)
Big welcome to the newbies!

Hope the new job goes well @wildmissus!

Good luck @sians - wishing you a swift appointment!

It's nearly 2pm & I haven't eaten anything yet - whoop whoop!

In answer to @raggy's question:-

We would all tell you to keep busy, remember why you are trying to lose weight, be determined, drink loads & don't worry about the tummy rumbles! They will come & go, can often be calmed by a drink & don't seem to ramp up & up as the day goes on....so they are definitely manageable. Think about the marvellous health benefits fasting will bring you - that will help you focus.

Nowadays, after nearly 9 months of fasting, I can race out of the door in the morning without having to give food a second thought! I used to have a small bowl of soup at lunchtime, then a larger one at dinner...but now don't bother with lunch at all! Breakfast is a bit of a distant memory.....Good job I'm not a betting woman - never in my right mind would I have believed I could get thru the day on no food! I promise you it is do-able...

Good luck newbies! Spend lots of time on this forum....it will be your saviour!

:rainbow: :rainbow: :rainbow:
Thanks so much.... starting to feel hungry now and so this support is really helping me today :)
Hello everyone. I'm checking in, albeit late as I'm on hols from work for two weeks - whoopee  . So, I'm being rather indulgent with my time - it's 2pm and I'm off to have a luxurious bath  I'll go for a walk later. My fast day calories according to the tracker are now 337 - as I don't count calories I'll guesstimate an egg salad dinner and some raspberries will fit.

I hope the day is going well for you @wildmissus and for you too @SianS.

@raggy how are you getting on? - in the early days I would constantly remind myself the kitchen is closed - put a note on the door if that helps :like: It does get easier!!

Good luck everyone. :clover: :clover:
@Lizbean its pretty tough today but that probably because I'm home... think it would not be so tough if I was out and busy and so I think I need to get out of the house.

Great tip about the note on the kitchen door, I'll definitely do that and thanks for the support :)
@raggy well done with yr day so far :like:
Keep it up! X
@wildmissus kudos for fasting on yr first day in a new job! Hope you meet some nice likeminded folks and even a fellow faster! X
I'm in today. I was at a wedding on Saturday and ate (and drank!) far more than usual, so a fast day should bring me back to target. I have just taken possession of a Fitbit Flex in an attempt to increase my exercise level. I have already been to the end of the road and back and discovered that it is 1.2 miles, so that is an improvement on my usual idle lifestyle!

@Newmanfor2015(what an intriguing Username!) and @raggy- just keep busy, hunger pangs will pass and, if you get a headache, up your fluid intake and make sure that you have not cut down too much on your caffeine or salt intake. I'm retired and home all day, so it can be done!

@wildmissus, I hope that your first day is going well and that the fasting has gone unnoticed!

Good luck to all fasting today! Onwards and downwards!
