It's 10 to 10 in the UK - nearly time for bed. :sleepy: Good luck to those of you still fasting @Hazelnut20 I hope you had a another good fast day
[Hi fasters. Been off the wagon for a few months as stresses of completing uni and keeping up with the family have left me feeling constantly exhausted and reaching for comfort foods. :curse: never mind I've jumped right back on today and am very pleased with myself. Stuck within the 500 calorie mark, completed an hour's brisk walk and finally..oh finally handed my last ever essay in this evening. :victory: needless to say I'm on top of the world right now.
I have been in today, didn't have time to look at forum as I have been helping DH to build a shed. I have 2 birthday parties this week so I really needed a fast day today. glad to read your first day went well @wildmissus I will be in Auldearn tomorrow wee Alasdairs 5 th birthday and also his first day at School.
I've also been in today, doing really well (@ 550 approx), until an hour ago, when I felt moved to celebrate my pub quiz team's victory with a large chardonnay (150). So I'll finish on 700, which is still not too shabby, and the food element was filling and nutritious: 1 cauliflower/broc/pine nut burger in a Warburton's Thin (God bless them), and asparagus, courgette, mushrm, pea stir-fry. Only 41 minutes to go, and the arms of Morpheus are waiting for me. Tomorrow = 5 mile walk. And brekky. Hm....
It went very well thanks @lizbean! Am very pleased to be able to tell you that, because it helps to remind me that this WOL is so do-able! For the last couple of weeks, I'd been telling myself "no, have Monday off, you can start fasting on another (unspecified!) day".....which then never came around. There is a lot to be said for a Monday fast though! Especially after the excesses of the weekend.....

I do believe I am back on track!

Yay @newlifestartshere! Many of us really understand how other pressures can easily knock you off the 5:2 track for a while. What matters is...coming back! So well done you...and good luck!

I've woken up after Mondays fast day with that light, lovely clean body feeling. Just letting you know that you will feel that too soon so stick with your fast day plan today to reap the rewards of resting and repairing your body and hopefully a reduction in waist cms.
Wow what a great feeling to hand in your last assignment ever @newlifestartshere. Its time to celebrate!!
Xxx julianna
Hi @Hazelnut20 that's great news. I must say I have learnt a lot about myself through 5:2. The most important for me has been to realise I need structure in this WOL. I have kept very firmly to Mon/Thurs every week, not sure why, just felt right. Quite surprised myself as I approach everything in my life in a flexible way. So I completely get you .... I can fast tomorrow .... but put off too... fall off the pony  Having said that it's my nephews wedding this Thursday so I WILL be fasting Wednesday. Wish me luck :like:
@Hazelnut20,

Great to hear you had such a good day, and thanks again for being so honest about your progress. Your example will be so helpful to the people out there who have gone through the same kind of challenge but kept silent because it's always so much easier to post about big successes online.
Best of luck for Wednesday @lizbean!

Hope you have a smashing time at the wedding on Thursday too....eat, drink & be merry!

For tomorrow we fast.....(not literally, but you know what I mean!)

Will we be seeing any pics??? xx

Hats off to you @newlifestartshere : it's a great feeling to finish your studies, and hopefully you can programme a glass of fizz into your diet !
It's about 4:30 here and I have an hour and a half to go before dinner. Looking forward to my one meal for the day. (Lamb, cabbage, small salad & fizzy water).
@Hazelnut thanks, yes Wednesday is FASTDAY this week only. PICS  - um possibly, I only say that as I'm useless at photo posting. Might be a very fortunate opportunity to raise up our Very Happy Tent thread!

Good luck to you fasters still going :clover: :clover: think I should take myself over to the insomniacs tent promptly. cuppa tea and then bed :sleepy:
Ha! I was getting cocky this evening on my second fast day ever and thinking, "I've got this-- this is EASY!" I'd just had my nice 250 calorie dinner and decided I could make the kids some rice pudding for dessert without being tempted. No chance-- I had to eat a couple of spoonfuls just for tasting purposes. Took me to around 600 calories for the day, probably.

Oh well-- tomorrow is another day, and Thursday is another fast (and I think the rice pudding leftovers will make a great breakfast tomorrow). =)
