Hi fasting friends,
Who's ready to join me in a cleansing day of fasting after a weekend of lovely indulgences?
Its a very rainy cold morning here and I'm so happy that I don't have to teach preschoolers today and instead I'm snug in bed reading our forum. Yay!
Xxx Julianna.
Let's go, Monday fasters. It's already 5 to 9 and a gorgeous spring like day here in northern Tasmania. A few things planned. I'm making a poster to advertise the Green Quiz Night to raise funds for our council election candidates. It's got the green and brown hills of Braddon and the sea and the mountains and it says: Green Councils on the Coast. I'm so excited to be making a political poster again after many years of not making posters. Then I'm going to bring down sheets of corrugated tin from the top of the block to the new garden terrace where OH is going to be making raised garden beds for veggies. Black coffee now and I'm not sure what's for tea. That's another job to do today: figure out the food plan for the week. So get on board, Monday fasters. What are your plans for the day?
Whoops you were writing this while i was writing another one! Hope someone can merge these.

Here I can copy/paste my entry on the other link here:

I just had my last indulgence here at 7:20 pm and will be fasting until dinner tomorrow.

It has been one of those weekends, hasn't it!
Week 2 of "Back to Basics" for me - so I'm in today!

Good luck all!

I'm in. Showery here and a wee bit cold. Getting my tax done at 11.30. It will be good to get it out of the way.
I was a bit hungry already and the burger patty with cheese on top was calling my name but its too many calories so I decided that I will have it tomorrow. I had a nice cuppa tea and that's filled the hole for now. If I can't wait for dinner I will roast the pumpkin I have in the fridge and have some of that. Dinner will be an Asian type soup with prawns, chicken, prawn gyozas, Asian greens and enoki mushrooms. Hi SallyO. Maybe @carieoates can merge our 2 threads! Its great that you will spend your day making your posters and you get to be creative. I need a good fast day as I overate at an Italian restaurant on Saturday night and suffered with indigestion terribly afterwards. The table next to us had an amazing birthday cake. It was a giant canoli and inside it was filled with probably 80 mini canolis. My friends asked if they could take a photo of it and later on the sent a plate of 6 canolis over to us. So sweet. I was so full I couldn't eat mine. I learned my lesson though. Lunch at the best cook in the worlds place ( my Mum)on Sunday and I did not overeat. Yay! It can be hard stopping just before your too full. You are literally talking about the difference between 1-3 bites meaning you are pleasantly satisfied or your tummy aches for hours! Does anyone else struggle with this?
Xxx julianna
Hi @Julianna and @Sallyo and everyone else. Yes rather miserable weather here Julianna but the rain is much needed. I didnt get up until 8.30 so am feeling very rested. Just down at work for a little bit then home to also roast pumpkin and think of what to do with it for dinner.
Happy Fasting
Hey @Sallyo, that's normally my trick!

I'm in today. Freezing cold here, with an incredibly icy wind like you only get in August in Toowoomba. Drinking a cup of tea, and wondering whether I'll do my usual liquid fast, or have some dinner because I have to go out this evening to one of those tedious school things. I very rarely go, but this is subject choice for 15yo for last couple of years of school, so I suppose I'd better go. Why it effects dinner or not is because I normally snuggle up with a book on fastday evenings, and go to bed early, so easy to not eat - but I'll need brain energy just to stay awake, particularly because it'll be boring. (Ha! So positive about it aren't I?!)
Hello to all - I'm in on Monday. First day back at work after a rather leisurely summer. Classes don't start for a week yet, this is all the orientation bologna with reports & meetings, etc. Probably salad & a frozen 400 calorie micro dinner.
Have a great start to your week everyone.
I've had a piece of toast and marmalade. I decided to take a few Ease-a-cold because I was feeling just ever so slightly that I might be getting something and there is a lot of it around. I needed to take them with food. It will be interesting to see if it makes fasting more difficult now I've broken the fast. Poster going well. Picture done. Now for the writing.
Tax is done. In a past life I would have picked up something creamy and gooey to celebrate but this year I booked in at the optometrist instead. I want some gorgeous new specs! :geek:
Hi everyone!
Yep, it's freezing here in Sydney too and my back room is leaking from the storms! Really don't know whether I need to call a builder, a roofer or a plumber as it's where the deck cover meets the roof and there are drains there. My DH is not a handyman
Oh well just keep fasting and all will be well.
Having some liquorice tea.
I'm missing my swim today but it really was just too blowy and cold this morning.
Mum has a fractured femur so I'm visiting daily at the moment to keep her company till she is off bedrest, hoping for her leg to be put in a brace on Thursday. At least its good weather to be snuggled up in bed!
It is only painful when she is moved. Trying to stay positive for her (and me!)

@Sallyo- hope the ease a cold kick in
@Katamac- sounds like you'll need an extra black coffee tonight!
@Julianna- Yes! that fine line between enough and bloated is tricky for sure. One day I'll learn
Oh yes, and @Chook new glasses are such a great lift! I think the first pair suit you best.
The rain has been a good excuse to return to the new look fast day forum today. I still like fast day. My keyboard is being skittish. Better to just say hi! Good luck to all of us. :like:
