Was going to but have decided to change to 16:8 instead, for only the second time since starting this WOE.
Love the flexibility but still having to repeat 'its not a failed fast, its not a failed fast' - we won't get the conjunction of hormones, rainy, stormy weather and half term too often!!
Hi everybody, It looks like a lot of us really aren't feeling it today. I'm in but really don't want to be. I've eaten loads of carbs this week and the scale is showing just that. It's weigh in for me tomorrow and I'm pretty sure it will be a gain. My brain keeps trying to tell me this isn't working and to break my fast or do a 16:8. I'm going to stick with it and see what the scale says tomorrow. I feel like I'm fighting with myself about this WOE. I want to fast as I can feel the benefits but it's like I'm trying to talk myself out of it all the time. Does anyone else get like this? I think I'm at a bit of a sticking point. I'm now at a weight that I couldn't get below in the last few years. I hovered around this weight for well over a years, before gaining. Sorry for going on ppl. Sometimes it's good to just tell someone how you feel. Thanks for reading. :)

Ps Hope you have a great week @daydreamer21 (tried to tag, can't do it. :(
I am in. What with Halloween on Thurs and going to Granada for weekend on Friday, I need to do today and Wednesday. Am finding it hard though. Had two cups of milky coffee and dark choc. Not the healthiest fast day but hopefully I will get through the rest of day with infusions and water. Good luck to everyone.
I'm in plus Thursday and Friday. Monthly weigh in on Saturday not expecting much of a loss, never mind! Onwards and downwards!
I am here for my usual Monday. Wee Charlie was Christened yesterday so lots of cake scones and nibbles not to mention wine. So it will be great to undo some of the damage. Good luck everybody.
I'm in as well!, after the weekend I really need this fast. I had a bowl of steamed veggies for breakfast and I think I'll have the rest of the calories at dinner.
I'm a wreck today, I have a phone job interview in the afternoon and I've been obssesively freaking out over the weekend, I need this day to be over.
My next fast will be on Wednesday since I have a Halloween party on Thursday and then on Friday going to the Thor movie...popcorn!

Have a good day! :clover:
Damn and blast! Just went into office as someones birthday cake was being served up. How could I refuse without being rude

And while it was lovely, apple and olive oil cake with cream cheese and maple syrup icing, I now feel sick breaking my fast with something so sweet.

Oh well damage limitation tonight, or I could just call it a 16:8 day and fast tomorrow  Will save me having to think up something to feed OH
Managed 23/1 today woohoo! Ate two soft boiled eggs to break my fast, then later I added cauliflower, runner beans and carrot to a bowl of chunky veg soup. All super yummy and just 356 calories. Fabulous! :0)

Feeling nervous about it today as the last time I fasted I was very very sick... grim, I won't get into it first thing for all of your lovely people, but I'm not blaming 5:2 I'm blaming taking Metformin on a very empty stomach

I'm feeling positive today. I've not had anything to eat yet.

How do you all do your 5/600 caloreis - 1, 2 or 3 meals?

Good luck all. :clover: x :clover:

Hi@MrsGToBe
Hope you have had a better day today..so sorry you had that horrid start coz of your meds
People seem to be struggling today and me too
Could be that we in the uk need time to adjust to the change of season and the long dark evenings just coming in..my guess is that wintry fasting is gonna be just that bit more challenging!
Anyway we are generally a positive lot but its good coz we can come and have a moan here when we need to!
The fast and repair day calories can be used as you wish..you can divide them between 3 meals if you wish
Lots on here find that it just makes them hungry to start eating so they save all their cals for a decent dinner in the evening..others have brekky and lunch or lunch and dinner
Others dont bother eating at all til the next day..making it a 36 hr fast
Its just trial and error what works best for you
Many seem to be having a wobbly day today,me included ,and have turned it into a 16:8 day instead...fasting for16 hours then having an 8 hour window they can eat in
Sorry this is so long! Hope yr days gone well anyways ;0) x
Did it! Just, was tempted and hungry but held out until dinner.
Hmm, mine ended up being a half fast, have only eaten one meal but it was baked potato with cheese and beans, probably a good 1000 cal - but hey ho - still a defecit
I'm in too. Oh the day seems long! Trying for a hike to distract me. 5 hours until my 500 calories! Good luck everyone, keep the faith!
I'm in as well, it has been REALLY hard today :( I am hoping time flies until it's time for bed :clover:
Amazing how global this forum is! It's kinda funny living on the west coast in the U.S., sipping some bouillon broth for lunch whilst envying all the fasters already off to bed in Europe. For those still struggling to get through, I hope it gets easier for you today! I'm on my 5th fast and finding that I'm not really feeling hungry after plain yogurt w/ a little jam for b-fast and broth for lunch. Maybe it DOES get easier!
Week 11, day 21.
Still going strong!
