I have gained over a stone since a problem emerged with my lower back that made my leg and hip so painful, I could not walk, stand or even sit for very long.
There have been months of sitting on a sofa, I have had a number of cortisone injections and all sorts of treatments. The pain I caused by the fact I have a) a slightly slipped disc, b) a slightly arthritic base of spine and c) two nerves emerging from one root. The presence of a cyst in this devilish triangle made everything crash together. Since the dispersal of the cyst I am more mobile, able to cycle and swim, and having strict physio followed by an hour in the hot mineral water pool here in Luxembourg.
With my daughter's wedding coming up in March next year, I would really like to look healthy and more shapely!
Started today with muesli, so not a fast day today really, but will see how it goes.
So fasting today to try & redress the weight increase! My OH already was force fasted on Saturday care of mild food poisoning with eating kedgeree on the BA flight back but fortunately the being sick only lasted one day
Only water & coffee until an M & S Fuller Longer supper.
Anyway i want to check i am doing this correct, I make my fast day begin when i wake up and end when i wake up the following day, is this the best way? As it actually takes you over the 24 hours doesnt it?
It would be great if I could just work the 24hrs out like 12pm to 12pm perhaps? This feels like cheating though?

This is my first fast in a long time. So far I am happy enough. I took with me a bottle of peach flavoured water and some cereal biscuits in case I can't cope.
Fingers crossed. Hope to fast today and Wednesday
I am fasting after some lovely weekend indulgence that I will not detail here!
It's hot hot hot up north so lots of water for me. Haven't decided on dinner yet!

@Susan8 You make this WOL "fit" you and your lifestyle and the longer your fasting time the better health benefits you gain so == 500 cals in any 24hr period to suit you, for me its from last night eve meal to tonights even meal I don't eat in between that 24hr because that suits me as the hunger monster wakes up when I eat lunch. Can't see @justdee & @nursebean pledging a fastday yet and they both promised they'd be here come on nursy you need to get one good true 500cal fast under your belt even if its 6:1 for now to break you back into fasting again then you'll remember how good your fastdays feel then you can build on that one day when you're ready to,
you don't won't me following you around nagging you like I do with Dee now do you.
