Fasting today Monday 7 July
06 Jul 2014, 23:55
Apparently all our fingers have frozen off in Australia, so we can't type to start this thread for today. It was 1 degree here this morning FREEZING!

So I'm in for a frozen fast. Plan for the day is to intersperse my study with bursts of exercise (gym and dog walking) to hopefully get just vaguely warm.
Hello (echo echo echo)!!! Very empty here this morning. Better late than never I guess.
I have finally made it to work after a nice sleep in. Now its black coffee and fizzy water until tofu and veggie stir fry tonight.
Come on fellow fasters and join in.

I'm sure some clever person will come along and fix it. Won't be me, my brain is completely frozen! As is the rest of me. I'd put more clothes on but I can barely bend now from the layers.

Whoops! Knew I should have started the thread when I was awake at 4:30am and couldn't get back to sleep, but my fingers were too cold! I'm definitely using the frozen finger excuse as a Queenslander down in South Australia staying with parents who don't believe in using heating  :fear: Anyway, I'm sure an admin'll manage to sort it all out.

I'm skipping breakfast this morning, just a coffee, and I'll have to see how the rest of the day pans out...my niece is staying over and sister will be joining us for lunch and/or dinner, so I can't really plan my eating. But boy, I'm inspired to fast - I tried on wedding dresses for the first time the other day, and the sample sizes fit...or we're even too big and had to be pegged   That's a slinky size 12 down from verging on size 18! Woot! Wish I could have taken pics, because those miracle wedding gowns would have made for a lovely "after" pic.

Hang in there everyone fasting today, and keep that long-term goal in mind...this way of eating works, slowly but surely, and when you least expect it you suddenly see the difference it has made! May the fast be with you!
Hi Wineoclock! I'd love to after our big family get together for my sons 18th yesterday but today we are going out to lunch as it is my daughters last day with us for 11 weeks as she is going to housesit for my best friend- so more food! I'll make it an 18:6 instead. Hubby's off work this week so hard to fast properly while on holidays so I'll just do my best where I can. Good luck to you though. I hope its an easy one.
Xxx
HI Wineoclock,
Im in in the morning. Last one for a week as we're taking my daughter to orientation for college & will be gone until the 15th. I was going to try 16:8 while were gone, but our hotel includes breakfast, so the timing is bad. I will work to stay at TDEE & expect to get a lot of walking in. I'll miss checking in here, hope everyone has good fasts & enjoys whatever you find occupies your time.

Haha Wineoclock we were perfectly in sync! Think an admin person has to merge the threads.

Peonyblue, it's probably colder in Qld than SA right now - bloody freezing! Yay for slinky wedding gowns.

Coming in late. It's not so cold in Tassie today. I went out without a coat, gloves or a beanie. Been to yoga, and now I'm starting to get that feeling in my stomach. I'll have a miso soup. I stopped having them for a while but then I got that grumpy period between 5 and 6 and found myself breaking out while I was preparing dinner. If I do the miso soup thing, then I can cope easier. Tonight it's chicken livers with steamed veggies. Hope to get out into the garden, but better do it soon as the day is slipping away.
HI Wineoclock. I'm over on the other thread.

I'm in too today. Off for a jog this morning then will have to go shopping to pick up more salad stuff . I have Eldest home today as he is on his second week of work experience and worked all weekend. Chicken and salad for dinner later.
Morning all.
First fast of the week and I really need it after a little too much food and wine over the weekend, though I did still manage to keep of the carbs. It was worth it as we went to see The Tour de Yorkshire on Saturday and is was fabulous!
