Fasting today Monday 9th March
08 Mar 2015, 20:03
Here we go with another Monday fast. It's going to be a beautiful day here, a bit warm so I'm of the exercise early then it's to work.
Happy fasting my fellow fasting friends !!
Happy Monday everybody

Fasting for me today as usual.

Salmon patties for the evening meal with just water, coffee and herb tea during the day.

Have a great day
Cheers
Maggie
Hi everyone. I'm in today. I'm off to a Introduction to Permaculture workshop, 2nd day, today, so I'll just not eat lunch. Yesterday it was 'bring lunch to share' which I did, but no one else did so i ended up eating my delicious pear and bean salad all by myself. Today, I'll have a cup of tea. Tonight we have the Opening Dinner for the Convergence so I'll eat sensibly. Bob Brown is the keynote speaker. It's all very exciting. with people here from all over the world. Canada, Japan, New Zealand - so far - and lots of Mainlanders as well as some Tasmanians. Last night there was a Community Forum with some really interesting speakers. I'm buzzing. Lots of love to all fasters today.
@Sallyo - that sounds like such an interesting event.

I'm in the Sunday phase of my regular Monday 4:3 fast. :) Pottering about and winding down before bed - good luck to those of you starting the day :clover:
I'm in today - only managed one day last week due to business travel. Just tea and water until lemon haloumi chicken with asparagus for my 500 calories this evening. Son's wedding in August so I want to be trim, taut and terrific (and 6 kilos lighter) by then. Have a great Monday fast day everyone.
I moved my fast to today (Sunday) as we are taking our granddaughter to Center parc for the week, so I'm not sure I will manage another fast. So may be a mix or eating window/fasting this week. Happy fasting
I'm in today (well tomorrow...off to bed first!). Trying 4:3 just for a little change. Not sure how long I'll stick with that. I like doing ADF as each week I fast on a different day but I thought I'd give it a go.
Have a great day everyone
I'm in! Hi everyone. Looking forward to a light day. A thin salmon fillet and veges for dinner and an egg if I need it earlier. Good luck!
I'm in today too - And I found myself looking forward to today - oddly enough.

My scales battery went flat two weeks ago, and I actually feel liberated. I am not going to buy more batteries, this time, for the first time in my life I kinda feel like I am finally at peace with the whole weight issue. I am following 5:2, I am eating properly on both Feast and Fast Days and I exercise daily. AND this year, I have given up all the exercise I hate for exercise I enjoy such as Zumba, Aqua Aerobics, Daily Walks Bike riding and weight sessions.. I honestly feel like weight has been lifted from my shoulders.
I'm not constantly thinking about food, about weight, stressing myself to the point of exhaustion and desperation when the scales don't show a loss.. It is what it is, i'm trying my best, and internally I feel fantastic.

Ahhh, its bliss. Eat well, Fast and Exercise. That's all you need to do. Stop Stressing. After all, your body is in charge, no matter how hard you push it, it will do as it likes. Just provide the best you can to feed and nourish it, and I'm sure it will look after you well.

Happy fasting. JAQ
Hi all,
I'm back again today.
@Sallyo -sounds amazing, and so glad you are buzzing with it all!
I'm back from my swim- lovely day here in Sydney. I swam at an ocean pool at Curl Curl last Friday- there were enormous waves and even the pool was being refreshed very regularly. It was so choppy- I felt quite brave!
Off for fruit and vege shopping now, and will just have herb tea, water and a coffee till dinner.
Have a good fast everyone.
I'm in today, too. I've already had a soft-boiled egg and coffee. My usual fast day (and non-fast day) morning.

Good luck, Monday fasters!
Hi everyone: I'm also going to fast tomorrow with all of you. Right now it is still my Sunday.
I'm fasting Monday, Wednesday and Friday this week. Last week was bad for me I only did one day. And had a bad eating week. So back on track this week.
Hope everyone is having a good fasting day.
Hello all, it is still Sunday here but I thought I'd chime in before I go to bed as there is no one still up in the Sunday fast tent.
I usually fast on Mondays and not sure if I will be tomorrow. I had a semi-fast day today. I ate about 600 calories because I lost count of the calories before I had some bread and butter :dazed: I'm hoping it still has some bearing on my weight loss attempt. Can one count a 600 calorie day as a fast day? :?:

I would think so.

I'm in as I have chosen Monday to be one of my regular fast days.

1.00pm: Mixed salad with a squeeze of lemon and shake of chilli flakes (78 calories)
3.00pm: Miso soup (22 calories)
6.00pm: Apple (60 calories)
7.30pm: Something from my new 5:2 Vegetarian cookbook by Celia Brooks. I'm going to browse at lunch time.

Happy Fasting Mondayites :victory:
I'm very proud of my efforts at lunch time today. There was heaps of lovely food from morning tea onwards and I kept being offered it, but I didn't crumble (apple crumble was actually one of the offerings) but no, I stayed strong. I had a pear at lunch time. Then this afternoon, at home, I had another half a pear which OH is drying and I wanted to see if it was dry enough - it wasn't. Now, inspired by @Juliana.Rivers, who posted on Facebook, I have looked up the calories in a pear and a half, weighing a similar pear and I find I have already had 225 calories in just a pear and a half!!!! This is very distressing. I will certainly not be allowed to have a glass of wine tonight and will have to have a very small serve of dinner. I hope it's not very nice, but that is probably a false hope. Wish me luck!
