Hi everyone,
I thought I had posted earlier but must have not submitted it properly.
Feeling anxious about today's fast. Dreading the late afternoon. Seventh one today. Was very positive up until now but dreading the afternoon grouchies!
Happy anniversary wineoclock!
I'm in today too, just two meals today. Main event in six hours time will be fiery vegetable satay noodles, inc broccoli, asparrowgrass and mushrooms. I seem to be developing a serious satay habit, but I'll cut back on the noodle content (possibly 40g dry weight), and just 1/2 tbsp peanut butter - the lime, ginger, chilli, garlic and soy are what make it, for me and they are next to nothing. Not yet sure about tonight, maybe just a bunless chilli burger and salad. I hope everyone else has a successful day and that @wineoclock is enjoying something suitably fizzy. :star: :star:
Hmm satay sounds like a good idea, haven't had satay in years, must get on to it. My day us almost over. My fast days are now very easy since I have started doing late lunch. Bit peckish now, but light on cals so might have a spoonful of yoghurt and then to bed. Plan to go again tomorrow and may have a few more cals. Pants were falling off today, strangely since I consumed a fair few cals on weekend. I'm starting to look like I'm wearing a big sisters clothes or op shop hand me downs! Only wear shorts n t-shirts to work but t-shirts hanging off me. Time to eat more maybe? Anyway good luck northern hemispherians!
I'm in today. Starting to feel the difference of my 2 fasts per week.
A busy weekend with Halloween party and trick or treating!
Damp cold day so might make some soup for later.
Hope everyone has a good day. X
One of my usual 4:3, so, if it's Monday, I'm fasting.

:clover:
Happy Anniversary@Wineoclock, how wonderful!I'm sure you are having a great time. What a lovely day for it.perfect weather.
Xxx julianna
Hello- I'm in today. Second week of MWF fasting because I'm just not moving. Bouncing between the same 4 pounds for months now, but I know why - I'm eating too much on my other days, so I'm essentially maintaining. Happy I have kept off what I lost, but I still have a l-o-n-g way to go. It's just not falling off me the way it seems to for some. That's ok, I'm not in a hurry, its the others around me who are impatient. .3 lbs/week doesn't show up on a morbidly obese person. I feel so much better & am seeing other results healthwise, so I'll keep plodding. Golden goose & all that :)
Happy 30th wineoclock, everyone else have a great day.
I'm planning to fast tomorrow, after a heavy weekend

Fast day tip: No breakfast, lunch tinned chopped tomatoes 400g = 74 calories, add 175g prawns = 123 cals, garlic = 5 cals, and cook on the hob. You can replace the prawns with tinned tuna, at just over 100 cals.
Dinner: Heinz steak & veg Big Soup - 1 can = 270 cals!! (I know, I did a double take when I read it). Total calories 472, I'll usually take some fruit or raw veggies to get me up to my 600.
Enjoy.
Good morning everyone! I'm here today hoping I don't get a headache like last fast day

It's my first fast day and not bad so far. Need to resist having a glass of wine later
Fantastic news WineO@wineoclock
My fastday has turned into a low cal day...dont feel very well and a fast just seems a step too far today
Good luck to all you plucky fastees! X
Hope I'm not too late to join in this thread. Only 12:40 p.m. here and just had a lunch of vegetable and tofu tagine. I was amazed at how low the calories were. Made it in my crockpot and now have fast day meals for the next two weeks. Still want to eat, though I'm full. Maybe I'd be more satiated if I had made a bit of rice to go with it. The story of my life! eat, eat, eat. Went to town with the food and junk on the weekend so hoping today can make up for it and that it will kick start healthy eating for the rest of the week. Having a cup of tea at the moment and hoping that it will halt the wanting to eat in its tracks! Happy fasting!

Hi @stephd hope you're hanging in there, not long to go now. Some fast days I get hungrier than others but I have found that the longer I leave it before eating anything the better, as once I start my body just wants more! I usually have a couple of thin nairns oatcakes & a cheese triangle (laughing cow, 25 cals) which is a 100 cal snack that tides me over til dinner. Plus the nearer to bedtime I can get before eating, the less likely I am to be kept awake by my growling tummy! Your tagine sounds delicious. 6pm here and I'm about to do 2 hours choir practice which should keep me occupied til my dinner of soup & roll when I get home! All the best

Ignore this double post, fast day fatigue!
where as I wouldn't survive if I didn't spread out my food though the day. I try to aim for 150-200 for lunch. 200 for supper and if I need a snack I hit 3 or 4 in the after noon with 100 calorie or less snack. If I can skip the snack in the afternoon then I either add the extra calories to supper or save them if I need a bed time snack.
