That's the beauty of the WOE. Everyone needs to find their own way. Hubs has always eaten 3 meals on fasting days for last 18 months, I used to then went to 2 meals then 1 but we have both lost shed loads of weight. Do what makes it sustainable for you.
greenmonster I agree with you, eating as late as possible in the day is better for me too. once I start eating I don't want to stop. my tummy is upset at the moment, don't know why, but I want some crackers to settle it but the crackers never do. why I think they will I don't know, just a reason to eat more maybe? today is tougher than last week. It is only 4:30 here and I want supper! can't think of anything but food. another cup of tea would be wise I suppose. time to put the kettle on :)
here's hoping you enjoyed your soup and roll!
Just to agree with the viewpoint that we all need to discover what works for us - I've typically followed a 3 meals pattern throughout my fasting days. That said, I don't seem to trigger an appetite by eating 50-100kcals at one time so that's perhaps why it's not been an issue for me?

DH also has 3 meals on his FDs (he's also 4:3).

It's good to see how well people have done today. Congratulations. :) And, :clover: to those with many hours still to go.
Just back from work and now off to bed 11.30pm. First liquid fast  Good to read your conversations, thank you. Tired .......teddy - back on Thurs
Well done@lizbean on first liquid fast! Respect! X
How do you feel it went? X
Thanks, it was very weird@CandiceMarie but I think that was because I had a very long work day. I chaired three meetings today and the meeting this evening was very challenging in terms of personalities. Yep I kept it on track and good outcomes but too many emotional issues to catch.
LBxx
High five and Well done@lizbean thats quite an achievement specially as very often there are goodies on offer at meetings
You should feel v pleased with yrself..
Cheers @CandiceMarie - well meetings wher full of yummy pastries, cakes and biscuits, but now it's nuts, berries, veg - NOTHING to do with me, honest
Thanks everyone for the Anniversary wishes. Needless to say I wont talk about the we ate on this fasting today thread ( but it was spectacular!!)
Hey @MLCDz--I know what you're saying! I just don't want this to end up as all the other diets have--unsustainable, gaining it all back, plus some! It can be a bit discouraging when no one can tell I'm losing; about 22 lbs since April, but has been real slow the last couple of months. But...I've found that getting under 190lbs is a magic number for me--my feet and knees no longer hurt! That in itself makes it worthwhile for me!

I'm just not into trying to make some arbitrary number, BMI or otherwise. I want to keep off what I lose, if I keep losing, even in slo-mo, that's great! I find it SO much easier to be really strict on "light" days so I can eat what I want on normal days. Fortunately, fasting has definitely changed my fullness meter--I really hate being overly full now!--and I am learning to use other resources for handling difficult emotions (other than eating).
@Canoegal, have you considered caffeine (a lack thereof) could be a cause of the headaches? Something to think about...
yes lack of caffeine is exactly why I keep having my headaches. I have been trying to give up caffeine for the last couple of months. I don't need it any other day except on fast days now. However I'm trying to get rid of it on those days as well. The problem is my headaches come in the evening when I can't have caffeine because I will be up all night if I do.
I'll be glad to see the end of this fast. I've had a headache since I awoke, but I didn't want to call off the fast as I am up an obscene 5 lbs since my conference, which is very demoralizing. This is the 3rd fast since I got back. Let's hope whatever it is that packed those pounds on decides to take itself off. No way did I eat 3,500 extra calories every day I was away. So it can't be real fat!
45 minutes until bedtime and I am so very hungry! this is a first, all my other fast days were easy by comparison. Just had a tablespoon of plain yoghurt, a teeny bite of a banana that went into my son's smoothie and a couple of bites of chicken pot pie (not the pastry). This is hard but I can make it. I'm thinking of the souvlaki pita I will have for tomorrow's lunch. Can't wait. Good night all!

Thanks @ferretgal, I'm never stopping, I just lose the long view every once in a while. Made it today, that's what matters! Happy sleep to all.
