I'm back in on Mondays too. have had a bit of a busy summer and haven't gained any weight but just been bouncing up and down in the usual bracket on the scales. Fed up with it and time to knuckle down now. Tummy ulcer has decided to play up at the moment too so I've only had a couple of peppermint teas and a mug of homemade simple veg soup. Not too sure about this evening, ulcer will dictate. :frown:
Hi everyone,
Fasting today after week of traveling with work which was a disaster in terms of eating - lots of lunches, dinners and late nights so I'm back onto the programme today. Feeling ok, occasional grumble but motivated to drop the 2lbs I gained last week.
Isis, I'm in Hampshire and this weather is depressing - from summer to autumn in a week!
I've noticed lots of folks have a signature at the bottom with their stats or quotes but I don't know how to do it. Attach a signature box is clicked but where do I write the text? How do you do it?!
Have a good one folks! MsRuby

It's User control panel, profile, edit signature MsRuby.
I'm in. Rushing/late to work as usual. Check in later, everyone have a great fast today.
I'm fasting today but the cold, wet and windy weather here in South Lincolnshire is not helping! :rain: :rain: I have been to Pilates this morning and am now supposed to be catching up on paperwork for the various committees for which I am secretary. Usually this works as a suitable distraction when fasting but today it's just not happening! I'm already on my fifth mug of black, decaff tea and my husband has just made himself some toast! How heartless is that!

Stay strong, fellow fasters! It will be worth it when we eat our sumptuous fast day dinners in a few hours time (fish pie for me!) and can feel so virtuous! Onwards and downwards!
Yes, in for the Monday fast. Had a lovely meal out on Saturday but other than that I don't THINK I overate through the weekend. I did manage my first Parkrun on Saturday though, proud of myself having registered for it about 6 months ago I finally decided I would give it a go. I ran 30 mins 51 which I was v pleased with, but my legs feeling a bit sore today. :frown:
I can have my salad in a few mins but I may wait a little longer as I'm not feeling too ravenous, although I have to go to the supermarket some time this pm, never fun when you're hungry!
Good luck everyone :clover: :clover:
Very early start today so my first opportunity to check in with my fellow Monday fasters.
Heavy rain here - as elsewhere - so I'm looking forward to our fish broth for tonight.
I'm here today! it is almost 10:30 am. I'm looking forward to today because this weekend we had 3 birthday parties which means I have eaten way to much yummy cake.
Hello All! I like rading through all your posts. Wishing you all a happy and successful fast day.
I'm finishing up my first official week today. It's dreary in New York City too - strange how lots of us have the same weather today despite different hemispheres! I am going to save my meal for dinner, when I'll make some Florentine tomato soup for me and my fiance. It's COlumbus Day in the States and a lot of people have the holidady off, but not me. However, it is lovely and quiet in my office, so I can pretty much do as I please! Good luck to all :victory:
Hello @slimforevernyc - welcome to the Monday thread and congrats on completing the week. That's it for me the kitchen is now closed and I'm off for my evening meeting in 20 mins ..........
@Hazelnut20 are you with us today, not seen your lovely posts for a while .
Hello, all!

I had to stop at two different grocery stores today to pick thing up as I am not going to be in the town where the specialty grocery stores are for the rest of the week. Now I am home and there are a couple more hours to get through until dinner. I'm hungrier than I have been over my last two fasts because my cold isn't as bad. Still, 2 PM is my least favorite time on a fast day!
First day for me ... 12:06 pm, feeling okay. Certainly looking forward to evening meal planned of ground Bison and veggies. :victory:

Hi everyone, fast day over for me, am still I bed treating myself to a cuppa before walking the dogs (who are also in bed with me.........) It's almost literally freezing outside...hello, it's mid-October and supposed to be Spring! The whole week is forecast cold and wet, but we do need the rain and the weekend looks promising :)
Welcome @BarbaraANichols, hope your first fast is going/went well (I am hopeless at working out what time it is where everyone else is - now that would be a useful thing to have in a persons info!).
Best wishes to those of you still fasting "today" :D

Wow great job! I can't go shopping on fast days it makes me way to hungry. I opened up a crockpot book to see what to cook the family for supper and had to put it away.. everything in that book made me hungry as well.
I started out fasting today and did so well. Sabotaged it with a tub of yummy sweets this evening. Don't know their calorie content but considering the amount I scoffed, I'd say I'm nearer my TDEE. I need to stay more in touch with this forum as I enjoy fasting but have again lost my way (feast days are my problem).
