Good morning fasters. I've been up since 4pm, thinking about war and peace and now my feet are cold. I'm in today. I hope I will be ok as I had a very light tea last night, boiled egg and toast. Black coffee after a hot shower and then off to yoga. Ministrone from the freezer for dinner tonight, but that's a long way off. Happy days, everyone.
I'm in also.
I intend to scour my wardrobe and take out any clothes that I haven't worn in the last year.I'm sure I'll have 2 or 3 bags to take to the Op Shop when I'm finished and more space for new clothes I intend to buy.
Cheers all

Hi Sally and Carmel. I'm in! I have to take my son to his first Higher School Certificate english exam now then I'll pop back in later.
Good morning and thanks @Sallyo - enjoy your Yoga today.
It's a cold wet morning here in Melbs, not helping the Arthritis in the neck this morning, hence I have a terrible headache. But a couple of Panadol osteo and a cup of coffee should help it.

I definitely need help this morning, I am already thinking of putting two slices of bread into the toaster!! Must be the cooler weather. I must focus and not yield to temptation of hot buttered toast! HELP!!
Have a happy day Fasters.

cheers
Maggie
Hi everyone, @Sallyo I was awake at 4am too, we could have chatted
Good luck to you son @Julianna for the HSC.
My sons 22nd birthday today so Happy Birthday Alex!! Ive made chocolate fondants for dessert for him so it might not be a completely clean fast for me.
Have a great day all!!
@Maggiee you can do it. Just think how much better your arthritis will be as the weight goes down. I do hope you start to feel better soon.
@Maggiee The kitchen is closed. Get out of there.
thank you lovely ladies, duly noted.

I phoned a friend who has had an ankle replacement and am going around to have coffee with her and perhaps help around a bit.

She immediately apologized for not having any cake in the house, and I told her I was Fasting today, so thank you, but NO THANKS.

Yes Sallyo the kitchen is definitely closed.
cheers,
Maggie.
Just finished my Sunday night dinner, and thought, "Must go visiting the Monday fasters Down Under!" You have become an important part of my fasting ritual. I hope you are all having easy fasts!

I've had the Dreadful Cold all week and have been pounding veggie-rich chicken soup, bread, and muffins, which have been all that appealed to me. Looking forward to doing another Monday fast, and being back on my M/Th schedule.
I'll be in when I get up in the morning - after 3 feed days I really feel I need it too!

Good luck to everyone fasting today - newbies and seasoned pros alike!
I'll be in, too when I wake up in the morning. I am always the last one to the party being out here on the west coast of the US :curse: It will be the first of three for the week and I am looking forward to it. Good luck everyone :clover:
Good morning, I am in too! As Maggie says, wet and miserable today after a gorgeous weekend, so I understand the temptation for toast. Sounds like you have organised distractions tho, @Maggiee. :) Me too; am a little later posting as we have just had someone measure for replacement windows, and are off to the showroom to remind ourselves of the options. We also have to go to the travel agents to pay for our trip to England and Italy next year - lucky us!
@Carmelk46, have fun with the sort out!
@Peebles, that cold better go soon, it has been hanging around long enough!
Enjoy your son's birthday @Wineoclock, I am sure you can manage a small piece of cake even on a fast day! :)
And it's only a year since I was doing the same re Year 12 exams, @Julianna, hope all goes well. Now I just have 2 sets of uni exams to worry about...
And @Sallyo, totally understand your concerns re war and peace... What is it about us humans and violence in this day and age?
Wishing us all a successful fast today. :)
PS And for those of you who are still 'yesterday', happy fasting when it is 'tomorrow' for us! :)
Morning all,
I see I'm bit late to the party but I forgot day light saving had started over East. Looking forward to flying home to Tas on Wednesday although it is for all too brief a time. Fasting determinedly today as I wan to try and maintain my current trajectory of downwards whilst sampling as much as possible of all Tas has to offer!
Be strong Maggiee, I know it is harder in the cold than the heat, but I am sat opposite a Philippino chap stuffing his face with parmentier biscuits!!!!

Deb
Today is DIY half-marathon day, so I'm not doing my usual Monday fast. Good luck everyone! :clover:
Hi all you Monday fasters. I am in as yesterday was Canadian Thanksgiving Sunday (earlier than the American one) but with the same huge turkey dinner. Sooo looking forward to not eating as I am more stuffed than the turkey was. Need to lie down..(still Sun night here). See you in the morning. :sleepy:
