One of my usual 4:3 days. It should be even more straightforward than usual because I have a trip to the dentist today to have a new crown fitted. :)
I'm in today - usual Monday fast but I pigged out on chocolate last night, have gained a kilo, but more importantly when I eat rubbish now I don't feel good physically and have a terrible burny feeling in my gut. Yuk. So I need to use that as a reason to ditch the choc. That will be part of my Christmas challenge - no chocolate. Good luck all!
I'm in too. I had a meal out yesterday which was yummy but now finding it harder today. Still, it will pass!
I'm in. Thanks for getting us started, Sallyo. Have a great Monday fast whatever your time zone.
I'm in! Last week I got back to fasting after not doing so for a few months. I just fasted on Weds. This week I'm adding in Monday too. I was really pleased to be down 2.5 lbs. this morning! I also usually eat breakfast when I fast, but last week I tried not having breakfast and I did fine! I brought a banana with me just in case, but I didn't need it. I'll do the same thing today.
Have a great fast day everyone!
I'm in today and it's going to be the day I get back on the wagon. I'm fully moved in to my new house and the old house has now gone, stress over :) . I have only managed half fast over the last month (giving in mid-afternoon), but with the extra cycling (school run) I've got away without a gain, think I may have even lost. I will be sticking this fast out, 4pm is the difficult time for me, so will be having a small green salad for a snack.
Good luck everyone :clover:
The fever and cold has finally beaten me, I left work at mid-day and I'm now on the settee, cuddling up with hot water bottle and blanket. So I am throwing in todays fast - not that it makes much difference, chicken soup and water is probably all I'll manage anyway. Keep going Monday fasters :clover:
I'm in today. It's fun reading through the thread seeing the morning going around the world. We had our apple harvest this weekend. We had about 35 bushels of apples which made 74 quarts of apple sauce and 23 gallons of cider. As for 5-2 I think it's starting to change me for the good. I couldn't finish a piece of birthday cake because its so sweet (that never happens). And later by 8 that night I realized i forgot to eat supper so I had a low Calorie soup. My husband asked me about 5-2 last night also :)
Blimey, Monday sure is a popular day for fasting isn't it! I'm in too today, although I must say I was tempted to have lunch...but the temptation has passed and I'm on track. Hope its going well for everyone :starving:
Not sure why I'm finding it so hard today. Every other fast so far I've saved may calories for dinner and it's been totally fine. Harder today and had to have a little bit of tuna pasta salad at 3pm (carbs less than ideal I know but it was the best option at the shop I was near!) Will have just a bowl of veggie soup later so hope to make it thru under 500 cal even if it's over two meals rather than the ideal one. Hope others are doing it a bit easier today - and that it's back to a more doable thing by Wednesday! Could eating out last night be to blame??
I have been in today only 1 1/2 hours t go until I tuck into a yummy chicken salad. I had to sit in a cafe with DH today and sip a diet coke while he scoffed on sausage egg beans and chips I didn't even steal a chip. :victory: Hope you all have a good day. :clover:
Wow - all my mates seem to be in here today - @nursebean, @Carieoates, @Debs <waving>

Not really sure if I should be here or not as I'm doing the Fat Fast (Atkins) again for a few days but as it's so little food, despite being 1000 cals, it feels more like fasting so here I am.

Have just had a chunk of brie and a few macadamia nuts, washed down with a creamy coffee to set me up for my exercise class in an hour. Hope to see some results this week!

Good luck everyone xx
Hope you're feeling better soon @Lizbean, rest up m'dear and drink plenty of chicken soup.
Yeah!!! I'm still in, it's 6:40pm here and I'm feeling good about this fast, I'm sure I'll make it under 500cals. Managed to get through the danger hour (4pm) without a salad. All I need is one good fast and I'll be back in the zone. Where's my lovely @SueQ? off on her holibobz already?, bloomin' heck that's come around fast. And where's candy? Hellloooo!!! @candicemarie, hope all is good hun. And a quick shout out to my buddies @karenm, hope you and the family are well hun and @pinchypops, where are you? I've not seen you on here for sooo long, come say hello :)
Another good fast for me today, despite being surrounded by sugar all day - prep for my sugarcraft class! I seem to be back in the swing of regular fasting :like:
Count me in! I tried fasting a couple years ago, but was in too much of a hurry, and quit. And now I still weigh the same after two years of dieting!
