Well done my fellow fastees! X

@Skippy, it may well be last night's meal - depending on what it was. If so, that's useful information as to how best to prepare yourself for a FD by the way you eat the day/night before.

Peaceful sort of FD (appetite-wise) helped in no small part by a visit to the dentist to have a crown fitted. :)

Good luck to fellow fasters in the closing hours in the UK - and those in other time zones who still have much of the day ahead of them. :clover:
@Ssure - thanks for that. Yes you're right - I'm starting a new learning process and need to work out what works and what doesn't. I'm fine now I've had a little tuna pasta salad and a bowl of soup so another feast done. Great to hear that so many people have had a good fasting day. The support and sharing really helps. @lizbean I hope you wake up feeling a bit better tomorrow.
Hi everybody
I did very well yesterday thanks Sallyo and trust you enjoyed your evening meal. I just had a slice of Roast Beef, sweet potato salad and lettuce and tomato.
Rest of the week I am back to 16/8 - thank goodness I have my mojo back! It feels good.

Hi @Debs - how are you going my sweet? Do you plan to come back across to Melbs at some stage?
Hi @Sassy1 - hope your day went well yesterday.

cheers
Maggie.
 @ Ssure, must remember your strategy. Dentist appointments = fast days. Also had a successful fast day. 23hrs here in UK - not sleepy but also not too hungry. Good night.
You know, I didn't believe everyone at first. But I think it is true.. the longer you are doing this new way of life the easier fast day gets. 5:30pm here right now. The kids have swimming lessons tonight then clean the house and off to bed.

The only time I have felt hungry on fast days after 6 months of doing them has been when I did 3 fasts in a week instead of 2. It was quite shocking to feel that hunger, as my body rather looks forward to fast days now. I've even been able to make quick visits to the grocery store on fast days, which would have been torture when I first started fasting.
So good to hear that your fast went well and that you have your mojo back @Maggiee :) May it continue!! :D
My day went well, thanks for asking. I am trying for liquid fasts, but usually end up eating an apple or 2, as well as the miso soup and the bedtime piece of chocolate (!). But the cals are still way below 400, so that's fine. I was finding that when I had an evening meal it had become all too easy to keep eating and the cals would soon be up to 800... So will stick with this regime until I have lost the little bit of weight that I want to, then either drop to one liquid fast a week, or 2 less strict fasts a week. That's the plan - but that has been the plan for ages and have never managed to get there... I have managed to keep to my TDEE on my 3 most recent non-fast days, which I think is a record, so I hope I can continue in this vein. :)
Bet you are sorry you asked now!!
Best wishes with the 16:8 and future fasts. :)

Hope everyone else had a good fast day too :D
I like the way that you await our arrival, @Sallyo! Do you check back on the Monday fasting thread when it's near the end of your Tuesday, like now?
I have had my bowl of veggie chili, which was quite nice, especially considering how empty the fridge was when I went looking for something to cook for dinner. Made me feel quite creative to actually cook a decent meal from the scant ingredients. Grocery shopping is easier on a Tuesday (non-fast day).
@Wendyjane, yes, I do! Cooking with limited ingredients at the end of the pay week can be satisfying. My salad last night with spinach from the garden, croutons, a few shaves of parmesan cheese and apples was really nice. Is it last night where you are?
It is last night. Strange but true. Hoping hubs is nearly done, so I can go to sleep. If it gets too late on a fast day, I do get hungry :frown:
My daughter watches an Australian medical drama that she talks about frequently. So now I know about netball. None of us had ever heard of it.
Hi @Wendyjane
Netball is THE most popular female sport in Australia- Saturday mornings for the littlies and afternoons for the older girls.
Wrecks your knees though!
