I'm In today. Only managing one this week. Heading off to st andrews for the weekend. In need of a cleanse. Not sure what's wrong with my insides this week. Think it may be hormone related. :(

On the gin topic.... it has to be Tanquery mmmmmmmmmmmm...

Rooibos tea to start the day and lots of water over the day. Hope to feel better later.

Hope everyone has had, and will have, a good day.:)
You're up early Karen!
It's 4PM here now, going to get a train in half an hour which will be an hour journey. Hopefully I will nod off as very tired after only a few hours sleep last night. Then having a pedicure and doing a bit of late night shopping. Hoping I will get in kind of late so I will just want to go to bed rather than eat.
We'll see.
Lil
From my visits to NZ, isn't it always cold pamie?!

A mild 17 here in Tas and I am cold and really struggling for some reason. Maybe cos I keep thinking about the fabulous cake shop we are going to for morning tea tomorrow while the car is being serviced!! They make the most amazing cauli cheese pies, with stilton, cheddar etc. Oh shut up woman

Just had to have a tiny protein shake to take my mind off things, that and reading this forum. Glad it hasn't heated up as much over there in NSW today.
Not today. I usually fast on Thursday but today we have DS and GD(grand daughter) here so we are having Mt Gnomon Farm loin of pork roast. New Pink eye potatoes, broad beans and roast pumpkin- then carrot cake. So there you go! Suffer. I will be fasting on Saturday. But good news, since I joined the 69ers Christmas Club, I've hit my lowest ever weight: 71.5 kg. I am stoked!
I'm not sure it's helpful to read 33 posts from (mostly) people who are all done with their Thursday fasts, when I haven't started mine...By the time I get to my small piece of turkey meatloaf and big tossed salad tomorrow evening, you will all be having a nice Friday dinner and drinks (gin seems very popular with you all - I don't like the stuff and generally have half a beer) somewhere there on the other side of the world :frown:
Fasting today and 4th day doing 16:8.

Took 20 mins to eat a Quest bar (vanilla almond) for lunch.
I'm in today too, third of the week.
And not long behind you in time Wendyjane.
Very hot out there just now 44C but it is definitely cooler morning and evening.
Lots of water , some coffee, 30day shred this evening before my usual poached eggs.
Have a good day fasting those who are just starting and well done those who have got through it :)
Ooooo that looks lovely. It's a bit early in the day to be having gin cravings but I saw that Chase (those vodka people) in the UK have produced an apple gin (apparently gin starts out life as vodka) which I need to try. I love tanqueray ten with a slice of lime. OH's tipple is tanqueray rangpur. I notice gin bars cropping up over in the UK at the moment. So we must be the height of cool! I once went to a gin bar in Barcelona where I had a heidricks with lavender tonic water and a slice of orange peel. It made a good old G@T seem really special  come on schwepps, why don't we have fancy tonic waters here??
I am fasting today also my second of the week on my first week back. Have family staying for a week and they will be buying fresh croissants every morning. No, honestly, I only want a black coffee! Will go on a few errands this morning to get out of it.
I agree, it is hard being at the start of the fast when many have finished! Oh well, I know I can do it.
Grilled salmon and roasted balsamic veg for dinner and will add rice for everyone else.
I´m in too! We are having a really beautiful and colorful autumn here in Finland. Next week I´m at home with my babyboy, so let´s see how the fast days will go. :) I think it´s easier to fast when you are at work.

Have a nice day all!

Agree with the bold. It's a public holiday on Monday, my usual fast day, but I'm thinking of changing it.
Hmmmm
Wondering what it is about Thursday fasts for me. The third one of the week. :frown:
Once again, I can feel a headache coming on. It's happened twice on a Thursday fast and been 'cured' by paracetamol and doing 16:8.
Very weird. Any suggestions? :?:
I'm in!

I did a 16:8 yesterday and feeling good so far today... although I didn't go to the gym because realised I have a 9.20am eye appointment. Still hoping to go later though but have to fit it around work. If today goes well I think I may carry on doing 16:8 on Weds before the full fast day on Thurs, I see a lot of people talking here about mixing up the routine in order to shift off a plateau, so fingers crossed!

Good luck everyone, hope you have a great day! :clover: :clover:
Well done Sallo on your lowest weight ever!
I too am now the lowest (probably since the millennium) and that thought helps to spur me on through the tummy rumbles!
I agree with wendyjane regarding all our fellow 5:2 ers down under - all now tucked up in bed!
It's rather chilly here today and I'm in for the second time this week.... Lentil and bean casserole for supper, the thought of which will keep me going (hopefully!)
Good fasting all!
