Fasting today?

Every day there will be a new topic in this forum for today's fasters to chat & support each other.
Please don't make extra threads in here besides the daily fasting threads, if you've got a question please post it in the relevant forum or ask in today's 'Fasting Today' thread, thank you.

I can't believe at 10.30 in the morning on a Thursday that I am the opening post of this thread. In fact, I'll probably post this and then see it. Such is life.

I'm fasting today. I slept badly and went back to be bed when I should have gone for a walk and now I am suffering. First black coffee for the day and then nothing except tea until dinner. I have to go out to a pub for dinner because someone is leaving and this is their farewell dinner. I can't miss it. I'm hoping I will find something appropriate to eat. Who else is here?
Morning @Sallyo! I'm glad you started the post because I started one for Tuesday fasters and I thought 2 'first posts' in a week was a little sad!

I too slept badly after a bit too much wine (although no where near what I'd have consumed back in the day) and a big Nepalese feast! So I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself today and along with people eating cheese toasties in front of me, I feel today may be a struggle.

So, to combat this, I'm going to spend all day dreaming up a yummy dinner for myself tonight. And probably just end up making myself more hungry.

Good luck with your fast Sallyo, at least we're in it together eh??
@kelkelkelsterI was about to say, I don't know how you can fast the next day after a fast - and then as I was writing that, I realised that today is Thursday - and yesterday wasn't Tuesday but Wednesday!!! That is a perfect reflection of my life at the moment. I hardly remember the days of the week and which day follows another. Now that's sad!
I'm here too, I've been rushing around this morning but home for the rest of the day now.
Once I've unpacked the groceries and sorted the washing, I'm going to indulge in a little me time and spend the afternoon cross stitching.
I hope life slows down a little for you @Sallyo.
Happy Fasting
Hi Everybody

Seeing as it is Thursday, I am in! Have a great Fast day and I hope your day improves @Sallyo

We have a family gathering dinner tonight for our son's Birthday on Valentines day - I am hoping to make wise food choices, bbq steak and healthy salads are planned.

I will have to say no to the Apple Pie though.

cheers, Maggie
I'm in. ADF has me fasting on unusual days this week…
Me too - last one before the Valentine deadline
I think I'm going mad - I'm sure I posted earlier saying I was in for today but alas, my post is not here.
@MelbMandy - us mad people have the most fun
Sometimes after you click on 'submit' you get a message saying that someone else has posted while you were writing your bit and they ask you if you want to review what you said, in the light of the more recent contribution. Then you have to click on 'submit' again. This tricked me a few times when I was new on the forum.
I'll be in in the morning. Have a good day those who are already over half done, you can do it for just one day...me too.
I am in today. Last one before valentines weigh in. Gulp.
I'm in today, although I have such a bad tummy ache (TOTM) I'm not sure how I'll do...
I'm so seriously stressed at work that I just don't know if I can even try a fast today. Just got home from wednesday and headed to bed. Trying to unwind with a little light reading before getting 5 hours sleep:) yes, I'm whining.
