I wouldn't worry too much about not eating all your calories yesterday - just look on it as a bonus - especially if you have a few calorie-laden days ahead of you! I wouldn't suggest eating that far below your TDEE very often but occasionally is fine. Good luck with the mindful eating - after two years, I still haven't mastered it consistently, but I live in hope!

Yes, the weekend will be incredibly hard because I will be sitting in a room full of computer and puzzle nerds and all the attendant high calorie snacks and takeout (or takeaway, as you say). The last one of these I ate 4 chocolate bars in 20 minutes just because I was focusing on a puzzle and they were in front of me! I'm hoping to do slightly better this time, but I don't have high hopes.
Just about to have a low cal soup...looking forward to scrambled eggs and watercress later xxx
Welcome @lizardline X

Welcome @lizardine X

Mmmm scrambled egg and watercress sounds really good - I'm quite a fan of an omelette on fast day so I think I'll be trying that one out soon!
I've made a lentil, chicken and vegetable thick soup which we will be having a little later. OH will have bread - I will not! I am supposed to eat pulses, as I have AMD, so I thought that this would be a good way of getting them down me (not a fan!) :frown:

@Lizardline - step away from the chocolate bars! If you don't take them with you, or buy them, then you can't eat them! If you really want chocolate then savour every mouthful - don't just eat it without even noticing! Enjoy your weekend!

If only it were that simple! At home if I have them I can just eat a little bit of good quality sweets, but when I go to these events, there are communal tables where people bring tons of junk. I bring fruit or whatever, but when the junk is there, I pass up whatever I've brought in favor of the much more appealing chocolate and chips (or crisps, you would say). It's a throwback to when I was in college and grad school, not caring what I ate, and always ate junk when I was thinking hard. As if it would help! Also, when I see others over eating, I tend to do the same. If I'm alone, I rarely overeat.
Fasting here too! It's 2PM, so not long to go now until I get some solid food! I really find the fasts quite easy. Lots of hot tea and a cup of broth does me fine.

I had an overindulgence last night, so not holding out hopes for a loss when I weigh tomorrow. Whatever......bring on next week!

Hope you've all had a good day!
We did a fast day today - roast pork, cauli, green beans, spinach and gravy. Came to under 350 calories. Happy with that :-)
Weigh day tomorrow. Hopefully eating lots yesterday hasn't done too much damage x
I'm in for my fourth fast of the year. I've already lost 3 lbs of Christmas bloat, so that's very encouraging. As for my "I can have that tomorrow" mantra, I head into NYC tomorrow for a knitting convention with a very good/old friend. I get to take the train (I love trains and we don't have many of them in the US).

It's 2:40 and my son is going to be getting off the bus any second wanting treats and snacks, so I've made myself a pot of herbal tisane :-)

Feels like I"ll be okay until 6pm when we go out for low calorie thai food.
I'm in today; up and about early for me (relatively speaking; have been night owling since I've been unemployed, hoping this resets my body clock a bit  ) as I'm waiting for a package delivery. Hate this, feel like I've got to be available at any moment (I'm on the third floor and if I don't fly down, they'll leave).

A little concerned about the early rising, bit of a lack of sleep, hoping I won't get hungrier than usual. Just black coffee so far, feeling a little rumbly in the tum but OK so far. Think I'd better make some tea. Seems like a LONG day ahead of me...hope the UPS guy gets here soon, want to do something else besides sitting around waiting!
Oh dear, I have gone over 500 today, so tomorrow I will fast and make sure I stick to it
I've been in today... though it's already 8:30 pm.

I'm feeling jazzy... had some yummy Thai-spiced coconut curry soup for dinner... and chilling now with a cuppa.

Been a bit exhausted the past couple days. The dog had his 'liberation' surgery yesterday and I had to stay up with him in the night as he kept trying to get out of his cone thingy. Poor love.
Another successful fast day. I'm really getting into the swing of ADF again and have been able to resist any temptation. Long may it continue. Good luck all those who are fasting today. :like:
Oops, I fasted till the buffet after the funeral...I was so cold that I couldn't resist. Then this evening had turkey soup (the last pot frozen after Christmas) with toast. Then yoghurt. Then nuts. And a bit of chocolate. Oh well, I'll just write this one off!
Good to hear everyone's fasting stories. :like:
Keep going in America everyone :clover:
Another fast done and dusted x well done fellow fasters x keep going Yankees! you can do it!x
I'm finished for the day. I have just had my low-cal drinking chocolate and will be off to bed very soon. Good luck to those still fasting. Stay strong!
