I've gotten hooked on instant miso soup! There's no more in the pantry, and it's a cold snowy fast day (perhaps my first snowy fast day) and I'm sad

Oh poor you! :frown: do you have a veggie stock cube or something similar as a substitute for a salty hit until you can replace your miso ?

No, I don't buy those stock cubes, because I think they are basically an expensive way to buy salt. So I'm taking a different tack and having a licorice tea. It's amazing how sweet unsweetened licorice tea tastes!

Edit: But you just gave me a great idea, @Callyanna. I always make soup after Thanksgiving with the turkey carcass. This year I'll use freeze some of the broth in ice cube trays. Oh, boy. Can't wait. I'll have instant turkey broth on fast days for weeks!
Your so funny @chichi13. What sort of soup did you have? I love soup.

Serving an S dinner this fast day - Salmon, Sweet potatoes, Salad, and Sugar (that last one just for my non-fasting OH).

It's a Specially Snowy Day. (note to Self: Stop being ridonkulous, Wendy).
HI all! I'm in today. Had a fabulous dinner. I found these frozen Thai Lime shrimp skewers in Trader Joes. Each skewer is 40 calories, and they have a nice thai spice on them. I ate two skewers on a big salad. I also put a ponzu sauce on the salad. It's like a soy sauce with lime that is only 10 calories. It was salty and delicious, a good pretend dressing even though it didn't stick to the leaves right. Hope you all had a good one!
