Pushed my pram 30 miles last week and had still gained 1 lbs when I stood on the scales after my Monday fast day. Was very disappointed but then I realized that "Mary" was about to come to town (ie it was that time of the month) so I am hoping now that she's gone home, I will be back on track and maybe an lbs or two lighter on Friday morning.
Happy fast day peeps and chew them spinach leaves carefully!

So no miso soup and no food at all til dinner time and nothing after salmon salad and some yoghurt and berries for dinner - well, that's the plan!!

Weirdly though I often like to cook on my fast day so have been busy and made a spinach pie for tomorrow nights dinner, the pastry is filo which I can remove off my portion becomes a frittata while DH gets his piece of pie as made. Dear me it is a long way til then and a few herbal teas until bedtime ... Unless I cave for a soup ... Come on bullet coffee kick in sigh
They were talking about the tennis players "getting into the zone". They went as far as to point out the rituals they do help them perform as top athletes. I'd say the "fasting zone" is similar, in that those little rituals helps us get through such that it becomes automatic.
I thought it was helping me to walk around like a zoombie on the fast day. But I'm going to try and be busier next time, and certainly schedule in a walk. I think also having something nice planned for the next morning, such as a cafe coffee might be good. I'm also going to meditate and keep a journal.
So I'm inspired by you all going through it today

blitzed a container of raspberries with come coconut water so now I have setting 5 ice blocks worth 5gm carbs each. Just something different to taste on a non fast day em thinks. Slow day need to stay away fro. Kitchen but O am studying and that always makes me peckish.
@Debs peckish together different sides of our continent, breezy here with cicadas with their volume turned down. Lovely day for it
Very humid and fly blown here. Between showers, yuck!
