I'm in today. For the first time I'm trying to go without food until dinner tonight. Feeling OK up to now keeping busy looking after my six year old Granddaughter going on a shopping trip and then this will be the hard part taking her for lunch somewhere .
Hoping she doesn't want to bake later lol. Oh well only time will tell I will not give in to temptation. wish me luck folks
Morning fellow fasters! I have my usual miso soup at lunchtime, though I might add some cucumber chunks with a low fat salad dressing - only cos the dressing's in the office fridge and I need to use it up!

Dinner will be a egg/eggwhite omelette with mushrooms and spinach - one of my favourite breakfasts, but again, I need to use up the stuff in the veg drawer, and I'm having a Big Breakfast for Cancer Research out tomorrow.
Another good fast. Tried just hot broth at work for lunch ( with a soup in the work freezer just in case I needed food) and it worked great. I'm going to do that from now on and keep the soup in the freezer. Small pan fried salmon fillet with salad. It tasted damn good. I'm just loving salmon since I learned that I like it crispy skin on the outside and rare on the inside ( since I started not being afraid of healthy fats ) its so tender and melt in your mouth. Nighty night.

Fasting today . So far the morning has whizzed past. I'm hoping today's fast will budge a bit of weight off as I've been on a plateau for the past week or so. It's been my first plateau since I started 5:2. I suppose, after the initial easy weight loss, I just have to get used to this slower and erratic pace.
I'm in today

Good luck everyone :clover: :clover: :clover:
Also fasting today and feeling huuuungry. Usually fast on fridays, but since I have a party to go to tomorrow I am fasting today.
Another fast all but over . . . . so looking forward to brekky tomorrow
Can someone tell me is it better to eat just a 500 cal dinner on Fast Days and possibly drink decaf coffee for breakfast and lunch?
@makinithap2014it depends what works best for you. I can't stand decaff coffee and drink mugs and mugs of the real stuff (black) on Fast days. I'm saving most of my calories for this evening as usual, maybe a mug of chicken Bovril later if I get too rumbly
Some people say the fast is starving yourself, but I it reminds me of spiritual fasting as well. I do not see it as starving, Americans eat way to much anyway.
I'm in!

The week was going well, yesterday I was sticking to a 16:8 and eating moderately, then dear husband got in at 10pm clutching a bar of Cadburys fruit and nut... ack! Did I even think about saying no? I did not!

So fasting today and considering not weighing myself tomorrow in case I'm disappointed :frown:

Good luck Thursday fasters! :clover: :clover: :clover: :like:
I'm in today also. I was planning on doing it tomorrow, but I woke up and had nothing prepared to take to work for breakfast or lunch so decided it was a good fast day! Hopefully my brain will catch up to my lack of preparation!
Ha, ha. I'm out. Just had big bowl of granola and a kitkat. Will be back on Monday. Well done guys keep your resolve.
Fasting for me aswell....1slice dry toast and a small pear so far.....gallons of green tea....looking forward to half a chicken breast and a mountain of stirfry veg......is this a good menu for today or is it too much??
