You had to ask (although I think it was meant to say, 'grated cheese'). So when I googled 'grated chess', I found something called a 'chess pie'. Then I saw a review that a chess pie was similar to the creamy mixture in a pecan pie. The dangers of surfing the web on food at the end of a fast day!! Now I know what's on tomorrow's menu...pecan pie or chess pie...or both.

Ha ha! I've heard of chewing the carpet but Bobby Fischer 'gratin' doesn't sound too tasty
But anyway ...yes I'm in too, hello regular Thursday fasters and Happy Thanksgiving to all who are celebrating it.

Salad awaiting me for lunch, then this evening I have a poetry reading in Tunbridge Wells so won't get to eat my soup until I get home. Hope there are no rumbles while I'm 'spouting' (as my mum used to call it).

When I weigh in tomorrow I'm hoping against hope that the scales will rectify that 2lb gain they gave me last week.... :frown:

Good luck everyone :clover: :clover:
Hello everyone.
I was in today! It's now nearly 5pm here and I've had to break my fast.
Early start, working outside and got overheated. Back now and vomiting with the dehydration so need to eat. Don't feel very good at all, so food is required. Strangely can't face my usual poached eggs but need cheese. Odd. We'll see if that helps. May have to go to bed cos I'm now cold. Don't think this is very good...
I'm in today. Work is busy so time is going quickly (yay) but I have more of a fuzzy head than I normally do on a fast day (boo). I'm at my mum's for dinner then home to sleeeeeep and dream of breakfast :-)
I'm in! First time on here for a while. I am supposed to be on maintenance but, having regained 7lb since July (for a variety of reasons - including not weighing regularly!), I decided to shift it before it turned into another fat mountain to remove. :frown:

I fasted on Monday and have made it through the day on black tea, so a low calorie meal this evening - I'm thinking fish and vegetables, with McCains Rustic oven chips for the menfolk, and that will be my second fast of the week done and dusted!

Good luck to all of you fellow-fasters for the rest of the day. Onwards and downwards! :clover:
I'm on the final countdown, 30 mins to dinner. Today hasn't been too bad in terms of hunger, I've only had about 50 cals so far so loads left for this evening :starving:
@janeg hope you get over the dehydration,a nod vomiting. Poor thing. I too had to bail out today, my first fail. But that's life, things weren't right and I'm just going to get back on with it on Monday.
Hi Bobbie i am thankful for the three "F"s!
Family, friends and ...FiveTwo! Of course! ;0)
Specially thankful at this time of year for a warm cosy home, and wishing everyone, people and animals, could have shelter and enough to eat and drink, this winter and always.
Also very grateful for all the lovely twinkling Christmas lights that brighten up these long dark evenings so well x
HEHE SORRY FOLKS I DONT KNOW HOW I MANAGED TO POST THE ABOVE IN THE WRONG PLACE!
As Penny would say..i' ll get my coat.... Xx
570 cals eaten today, feeling a bit of a failure, and still hungry!
Strange how some fast days are so much easier than others!

Sue
70 calories is neither here nor there-though feeling hungry is a pain.
I'd count it as a major success. Try not to get too hung up on numbers.
My fast day is over :) but I am thinking of those of you still going - tho those in UK should be in bed by now?
Sounds like fasting in the colder climes is not too easy, and lots of you seem to be battling colds or more serious health challenges. Look after yourselves, first and foremost!
I am doing 16:8, so no food for me for a few hours yet, but I have plenty to keep me busy til then. :D
Has anyone come up with reasons why the hunger pangs seem to abate overnight? (probably shouldn't be asking this here, should do a search...)
Best wishes to all :)
