Morning all! Who is with me today?

I'm feeling good about today's fast, this time of year gets so busy that fasting seems a bit easier I think.

I've recently dropped the midday miso and am on just one coffee and water until the evening. I think I find that easier because it keeps me having to think about food at all until the day is nearly done.

Good luck regular Thursday fassters and welcome to any new faster joining in today
Yes, I'm in. I wasn't going to because I've nearly reached my goal and started thinking about maintaining through 6:1 but scales just showed nearly 2kg weight gain in one week! :frown:

I haven't entered it into progress tracker yet as Friday is my 'official' weigh-in day. Let's hope tomorrow things look better.
Yes, I'm in today. I have been sometimes doing without the lunch time miso, but only if I'm not feeling desperate. No weight loss happening, just going up and down between 72.9 and 70.6. I guess that's my new set point weight. Better than 76-75 kg which it was before. It will kick in again one day, but possibly not before Christmas.
This is the first time(apart from a holiday) that hubby and I are deliberately missing a fast. Just too much happening. Next fast will have to be Tuesday so hopefully not too much damage done esp with sons 21st birthday party on Saturday
I miss you already, Wineoclock!
Great attitude Sallyo. This WOE definitely teaches at us patience! I'm in Otter and saw a new low on the scales today so am hyped up for a successful fast day as I'm hoping at tomorrow's weigh in I'll drop in to the overweight bmi- fingers crossed!
Big foody weekend planned- lunch at Jamies Italian restaurant on saturday and big family barbeque with old school friends on Sunday.
Xxx julianna
I'm in! Haven't done a fast since last Thursday so I'm a bit nervous as I failed Mondays one.

I am trying a different approach today.. Having lunch (2 boiled eggs with spinach) a miso if I feel like it although it is possibly to warm for soup, and tuna and miracle rice for dinner.

We'll see!

Lil
Is your new house all ready for your son's party @wineoclock?
I'm in. Going to the gym this morning so have had some mushroom and tomato dry fried on half a muffin. Will most probably have to eat something after as well. Haven't planned today terribly well because I have to go to the supermarket or my kids will have nothing to eat! Also planning to cook up a batch of veg soup for my dinner tonight.
Have a great day everyone
Hi all, I'm in today for my usual Thursday fast. So is my DH however he is ready for maintenance really now. Think he will do that fully in the new year.

Met up with Debs yesterday for our slimmer's luncheon, great time had by all! We talked for two hours and ate of course but were very good really, nothing to break our TDEEs.

Sallyo, I am like you, I have been gaining and losing the same kilo for the last 6 weeks. Have not reported in for the Christmas Club as would affect the stats... No decrease here yet. Have read some of the 'plateau' threads on here and all very helpful, so hopefully change will come. I lost steadily for 6 months and then halted, which seems to be common.

Best wishes all fasters today. :geek:
I'm in. Oh well. I thought I was going to break back through the 100kg barrier this week at least once. Please let me see a 99!! Just for one day!
Yep, it's a Thursday so I'm in.

Will be riding my bicycle 10km today (as usual) & will take the stairs at work.
Still on the chilled White! but I'll be in in the morning.
Hello all,
I am in today on another dank day here!! I haven't reported in either as I have stalled completely, but I haven't gained either so that is something!
'm trying not to eat anything at all today, just hot drinks and Marmite at lunchtime. I have an organic Dr Food cuppa soup if I get desperate later for something, especially as OH is fasting but eats mountains of veg!! I can't physically do that.
Lovely meet up with Judio yesterday, and OH joined us for coffee as honorary 5:2 member, he fasts and reads the forum without joining in.
Sorry Judio, my restraint faltered when I popped into the chocolate shop next door and bought a chunk of their very fine chocolate honeycomb - it barely got out of the door! I was in there for pressies - honest guv!

Good luck all
I'm in too for a regular Thursday fast.

Sympathy for those who have put on weight over the last week :( that can be very dispiriting (I know!). Hopefully it is mainly water and food yet to be expelled(!). You all seem to have a great attitude towards these glitches - that is such a good motivator for sticking with this WOE for others having similar experiences.

And I understand the frustration of a weight plateau - hopefully something is still changing, be it body fat, and/or inches, if not lbs. I don't need to repeat all the wonderful suggestions elsewhere for helping move from that plateau, or all the benefits of this WOE even when on a plateau.

Best wishes to all :D
