@soobidoobs, many people, especially long term dieters (those who have tried and failed too many times) can take longer to kickstart the weight loss. If this is your first diet have a look at your TDEE, as you may be eating too much on your normal days, or weirdly enough, not eating enough. The not eating enough has happened to me quite recently.

Also many of us gave up having anything to eat (liquids only) because of the food triggering even more hunger. You could try just eating at dinner time for your next fast.
I've been struggling today as its a shopping day. Shopping day is normally a Friday, but I am off to the Grand Design show tomorrow where one of the sections is food related, including testing and tasting. Yummy. So it was fast and shop today. To make it worse, my hubby and youngest excused themselves and went to the store cafe and they both had full English breakfasts (for their lunch) that they were both still eating when my son and I had finished the shopping.

Its soup and stir fry for dinner.
Julie is this your LAST fast of the week? Are you mon/ thurs?
I am,so once today is behind me i have three days of careful but enjoyable eating
Woohoo! Hope same for you too
And thanks for advice to soobi..cheered me up,feel as fat as ever today x
We are with all of you wonderful fasters ! Chicken and baked veggies tonight ! The snow is coming tonight so we better get ready with a fire in the fireplace :victory:  :like: Good luck everybody :like:
Well I enjoyed my homemade carrot and coriander soup, even though my boys hated it! They had the bread! Oh well, will try sonething different next time!

Just got to get through the evening! My hubby had to go to hospital earlier for ongoing problem that may or may not require urgent surgery. Will try not to cheer myself up with chocolate!! :-P
@CandiceMarie , no this isn't my last fast. I will be doing Sunday too. On my cycle this is a 4:3 week. Or should I say that I do a 3 day rolling fasting cycle. Every third day is a fast, unless other commitments change the circumstances. It generally means that very third week or so I have a 3 fast week.

@toffee14 , my eldest is cooking today and so far we have had an onion soup. Not the french onion with beef stock, but made with stock and milk. It was rather lush. We will be having the stir fry in a bit.

I also have just found out today that my hubby is being admitted into the specialist orthopeadic hospital, in 10 days for a week of testing and poking and prodding by surgeons. The likely hood for him is surgery on his hands to re-attach ripped tendons, replacing both knees, and surgery on both elbows to remove calcium growths there. I'm a bit miffed actually, as I'm on the list at the same hospital and have been for nearly a year for surgery and I still haven't got a date.

Thanks for this advice. I do try to stick to my TDEE, although was lured onto this diet by promise of 'eat what you like' on non fast days. It's not quite like that is it  I just seem resistant to losing weight. I'm not huge to start with, but a stone and a half more than I'd like to be. My blood pressure, and pulse are both very low, I'm not sure if that means I don't burn as many calories as some?
Anyway, I am losing, and I'm coping pretty well with the fast days. I loved my kedgeree this evening. I can't seem to go all day on just liquids, I start to feel dizzy and have quite bad stomach cramps. A bit of soup seems to sort that.
I still have 100 cals to go this evening, will probably have a banana later.
I'm in, trying my first liquid only fast as I want to mix it up to try to kick myself off this plateau.
Been fine so far but struggling a bit right now (7pm) as that's the time I usually have my single meal on a fast day.

Is having a Miso soup or a low calorie cuppa soup cheating on a liquid only fast?
@julieathome - sounds yummy! My OH is back home now, no surgery for now, has to wait to have more problems! Hope you get seen soon!
I've been fasting all day despite work thing that included muffins and croissants and then sandwiches for lunch. I've had nothing to eat all day but am about to have a salad with low fat mozzarella cheese and some fruit and then an early night hopefully. Already looking forward to my porridge in the morning.
I'm finally at the end of my day, I will have gone over by about 80 calories, but I'm not too bothered about that.

Good luck to those still fasting :clover:

Well done Sian..i have gone over by about 200 cals but hey ..
We've still done well in the big scheme of things
Really i should gear self up to the 36 hour thing coz once i have has my 500 cals,
I just want to draw a chair up to the fridge and eat all night
Cant quite face 36 yet tho..maybe just give myself more time to adjust to all day fast n repair first.
