Who's with me today?

Woke up hungry!? That's never happened before

Wishing all you lovely forum friends a successful fast day
I'll join you otter. I'm hungry too, I've been extra hungry all week. Possibly the after effects of 2 weeks of over eating? But I need this fast as tomorrow I'm in the car for 7 hours to visit the family for more eating and drinking.
Enjoy your fast.
That'd be it wineoclock - I was on holiday last week and eating 5 meals a-day due to 5 hungry teenagers!

I did a south-east asia trip earlier this year, so know just what wonderful food you've experienced on your trip... I don't regret a moment of it :-)

Safe travels.
I'm in too and really not happy about it :(
Good luck everyone.
Lil

Lil just look back at the pics you posted showing off yr lovely figure!
You are proof its worth it!
Come on kiddo you can do this standing on your head
( well, maybe not,coz your drinks will miss your mouth completely, but you know what i mean)
Yes, fasting today too, and my DH. I have a busy day ahead so that will keep my mind off food.

I seem to have plateaued since I got to my 25 BMI, have only lost 800grams in 5 weeks whereas before I was losing about 450grams a week! :frown:

I was Liquid fasting for some of the last month too as I tried to shift it, found that a bit easier some days as my hunger switch didn't get started.....

Anyway, my question is, have others found that they have plateaued at this stage or is it a length of time issue? Have been 5:2ing for over 5 months now, and very happy with it. It now feels normal to have low intake days every Monday and Thursday and I can picture doing 6:1 indefinitely when I reach goal. When I reach goal, yes when, not if! Trying to encourage myself here...

Have a good repair day people. :geek:
Morning all. I'm in today, but OH isn't. He's sitting here eating breakfast as I write this. We are going on a trip to Hobart - 4 hour drive, to visit the new grand daughter. I'm going to fast and when we have the counter tea tonight, I'll have something light, soup maybe. I think this marks 6 months on the 5:2. I haven't lost as much weight as I would have liked. I have certainly plateaued over the past few months and haven't lost much at all. My graph goes down, flat, down, flat. I just believe it will go down again one day soon and mean while there's no other diet which I could do which would do any better and which would be sustainable. So here I sit in my size 15 black pants, feeling slimmer than when I started and I've lived through winter. So I'm not complaining. Have a good day everyone.
Not this week-I'm off on holiday instead!
I'm in. Good luck fellow fasters!
Booo...I'm in.
Out to lunch, so it'll be turkey salad. Mushrooms and beanzzzz for tea.
I'll be somewhere around the 500 mark..
Good luck everyone
In today, well in 9 hours or so after I've been to bed that is. It had best be tomorrow as Friday I'm off to Grand Designs Exhibition in the NEC and they have a culinary hall where they have food samples and demo's of techniques etc. So I could well be stuffing my face there.
5 or 6 months seems to be the first major plateau mark for most people. I think its when they have on average lost about 15% of their body weight, the body jerks awake and says 'Whoe, whats going on here, I can't have you losing this much weight without resetting some controls, you can wait a bit, for me to do my thing first'. Then the body is happy again where its got the controls set so it lets you be to lose more weight, till the next % of body weight. I am expecting about 5 plateaus before I get to final weight.
@Julieathome I'm just about to book my tickets to the Grand Designs show here in Sydney, usually a good show, hoping to get decorating ideas for the new house we are building.
Fasting today. Also fasted on Monday, which I had taken as a day off - my first fast on a vacation day. I survived but there's a public holiday on the 14h so I have to try to do it again. Fasting is much easier on a work day.
