Wow is it really April already. I'm still trying to get rid of the Christmas gain
Beautiful day for a fast here, maybe rain later. I'm having a Chard and Potato Curry from the River Cottage Veg book tonight. Haven't cooked it before so fingers crossed its nice, it will help use up some of the silverbeet that is growing like a weed in my garden
Well enough rambling from me - good fast day all.
Good morning. Wineo. I like rambling. We're having some kind of Italian style duck liver. The neighbour gives us a lot of various poultry liver because he doesn't know anyone else who eats it. I just treat it like calf liver, which is impossible to obtain. Red onions, balsamic vinegar.... Well done on crashing through that Christmas gain, Wineo. My new scales haven't arrived so I haven't weighed since last week. Feeling nervous. I am expecting a plateau or even a gain now that the days are shortening.
See you in the morning as usual.
I'm in, feeling positive about this one!
Meatballs in a chopped tomato sauce and veg for dinner tonight - yum!!

Have a great fast guys, embrace the water!!
Hello everyone, it's a quiet thread today. I'm in after a good nights sleep. I like being able to sign up the night before as it puts me in a good frame of mind. Dinner tomorrow, is a nice egg salad, just right for a spring day.

Ahoy@spanner- it's Thursday, come on board the happy ship

Have a good fast day everyone.

Lizbean
Hi gang,
Its still last night here, iykwim! I am hoping for some of @Lizbean good mind set too. I'm normally a Wednesday faster, but had a bit of a blow out today. My middle kid turned 6 today (yesterday for the antipodeans) and 8 yr old also had an achievement to celebrate. So I joined in the fun. Managed to rain in some damage today though. I had homemade pain au chocs this morning, but a fast day lunch of fish and greens before indulging in dinner (shouldnt add too many details of that here!). Im just about 100kals over my tdee, so not too bad. The old me from 8 weeks ago would have grazed on goodies all day. not to mention the few wines that would hsve gone with the meal (just had the 1 tonight)

Im not really in the right frame of mind (yet?!) for fasting, but hopefully this post will seal the commitment in my head. So, I'm off to bed and I will join you in the morn.

Good luck fellow fasters :like:
I'll be joining you tomorrow, but it's only 8 pm here now. Wishing you all an effortless fast!
I am in too after a sleep. Major feast instead of fast Wednesday once I realized I had an event that night. Not used to Thur fasts (I fast on Wed because I don't work that day). I just didn't want attention to the fact that I am not eating lunch, etc. It shouldn't be a problem tomorrow because 1) we are crazy busy and lunch would be a "grab and keep working" affair anyway and 2) most people at work now know I am on this WOE and are supportive.

Off to bed and coffee only in the morning. Oh...and I am not weighing until just before supper, if at all. If I weighed in the morning, I am sure I will have gained 2-3 pounds. :sleepy:
Good night to you fasters over there who are just finishing up on Wednesday and setting yourselves into a fasting frame of mind for Thursday. It's afternoon here and I've just had a miso soup. I'm at work, officially finished as i only work a half day on Thursday but I stay here as I have a lot to do. The day is going ok, but I am anxious about that 5pm-7pm bracket.Perhaps I will indulge in a coffee at 4pm. And the make a cup of tea to sip while I am cooking dinner. I find that spot really challenging - I'm starving, I'm in the kitchen, It's too easy to start snacking with the thought - I've been so good a few nuts won't help as she takes a 2nd big handful of almonds .....
Here I am on my first fast for 8 months, I think. Almost lunch time and am going well. Just a couple of cups of tea and some water so far. I am not sure what to have for dinner, but will work that out after I finish the assignment I am working on (why the hell did I decide to go back to uni at 52???)
I am fasting today today too. Going to be a busy day at work, so I probably won't notice before lunch.
Have a nice fast day, fasters!
Oh, yeah, and @Mousie, why did you go back?
Running Olsen - I did 5:2 for about 6 months and then decided that I didn't want to fast for a while. Did a few other things (Michelle Bridges program which is Australian and fabulous) injured myself so couldn't exercise for a number of months and have just come back from eating and drinking my way through Vietnam. I have been thinking about going back to fasting for a while...so here I am
Hi all I am fasting today. I have got into rut on my fast days. I always have a cupp a soup 80 cals for lunch and a microwave ready meal for dinner in the evening.
Yip fasting as well today.
Life is happening so fast at the moment it almost feels like Monday and Thursday are back to back fasts.
Yes, I'm in! Had a big long work "morning" today, 7.30 to 2, that's supposed to be a half day! But I find I'm actually much more efficient and clearer-headed when I'm fasting on a work day - it wasn't like that in the early days, but fasting generally seems easy on a work day these days. Pity about feeding myself appropriately the rest of the time, doing a lot if emotional eating & grazing atm, I can hardly get inspired to make myself a proper evening meal - I must get on to that. That and exercise!

Happy Thursday fasting, everyone!
