Hi all

I'm in today, not at work but have managed to get through a few things on my to do list so feeling quite pleased. Also feeling a bit odd as it's time of the month so stomach feeling sore (and occasionally very hungry) and have suddenly had an energy crash and feel like I'm awake but asleep at the same time! Good job I'm not planning on operating any heavy machinery today...

Been feeling very bloated recently and have put on about 3-4lb so am hoping that it will just have been the 'time of the month' effect although I know I've been eating a bit too much on my food days too.

Soup and an omelette for dinner I think. Really want to demolish the rest of the sea salt chocolate we started last night - only the thought of having to save it for when hubby comes back at the weekend is stopping me!
I'm in too....usually Monday but went to an all you can eat French buffet at lunchtime yrsterday...amazing choices, all the seafood you could imagine, pastas, rice salads, cous cous, foie gras, cold meats...then the puds, there were 23 different ones, and you could just keep going back. Creme brulee is my favourite, followed by opera...a very rich chocolate cake/pie.
All that for €11.95 each. Not bad eh!
SO...back on track today, coffee and water till tonight, then pre-made chicken basquaise...300 cal for the pot, with loads of courgette julienne with strips of lemon peel in.
Good luck to all today
I'm in, today and tomorrow to catch up. Doing 4:3 this week.
Afternoon everyone, I'm in! Had a mini portion of porridge with water at 10.30, then black coffees and water. I have planned a prawn salad for lunch and prawn stir-fry for dinner. I find 3 meals works well for me.

Like many of you, I had an indulgent long weekend, so today should undo some of that excess!
Thanks Lil, i hope you're right

Congratulations to you too Katharina! Hopefully it will come off as easily as it went on. No i never seem to stay the same if i fall off the wagon either
I'm in today because of yesterday's bank holiday. Don't know what I've been up to but my trackers not looking good. I have stayed faithfully to 5:2 and 16:8 on weekdays but think I've been wey heying too much at weekends. Going to see if I can cut the wine, chocolate, bread, pasta, rice and potatoes out completely for a few months. I only have them at weekends as it is. Will really miss the wine, chocolate, bread and potatoes, not that fussed about the pasta and rice. Oh dear, this is not going to be easy but I can't see any other way to stay focused.
I'm in today. I wanted to do yesterday, but hubby decided he didn't want to as it was a bank holiday in the UK, had quite a long fast anyway was we didn't eat until about 3pm, but then we stuffed ourselves with salad, bread and trifle so way over 500 cals.

Today I'm finding it hard. I'm hungrier than I would expect, maybe because of all the carbs from yesterday. Oh well, I'll just persevere...
Hi and welcome to Laura.

I'm in today, had wine and/or beer every night over the long weekend, need a break; I did at least get some good exercise in as well.

Only coffee with skimmed milk so far, will stick to raw veg, cuppa soup and perhaps a protein shake tonight depending on how I'm feeling.

I do find it very supportive to come here and know that others are doing the same day as me!
I'm in today, its 4pm here and my last food was 9pm last night. For the first time I'm going to try and not eat at all till tomorrow which will make it a 36 hour liquid fast. I'm not sure if I can do it but I'm going to give it my best shot. It does feel wierd that my family are downstairs as I type enjoying an early evening meal, but I'm hoping with a bit of distraction tonight I'll make it through.
I've not been around for several weeks - and over the summer (for various reasons) I didn't do 5:2, and in fact ate loads of stuff that wasn't very helpful...I put on 4 kg. Grrr I'm annoyed with myself for not trying harder.

SO: back on the bandwagon with my first fast today. I'm taking some meds at the moment that must be taken with food, so I had 10g porridge oats with water & half a tsp of stevia/sugar mix for brekkie; a bowl of homemade veggie soup for lunch & a chicken/sweet potato recipe is planned for dinner at 300 calories a serving. I will be a bit over 500 cals (probably closer to 600) but I'm not too worried.

The rest of the time I'm sticking to the Mediterranean Diet - I hope that works okay to lose this extra weight. I also am going to try to do 30 minutes walking a day - not power walking but just walking at the moment (bad back means it's a bit painful to walk)

Let's go, Fat Dormouse!!
Hi
Think this is my 6th fast now. Today has been a breeze.
Best one yet. Finished tea at 7 last night and still not eaten.
I have a stirfry when I get home for 86cals and that's me done for tonight.
Mild hunger today but very infrequent. Black coffee and water.
Happy days. Lets hope every fast day is now this easy .... Eeek I doubt it. Making the most of today :-)
What did you decide Lil?
I'm in. Usually I fast on Monday, but took youngest to college on Sunday and just felt miserable. I never thought I would feel that way, but it's just tough. Anyway, I'm back into things today and know that I have to keep myself busy. So far just small apple and coffee.

Thanks, I'm hoping as it went on quickly it'll come off quickly! Luckily I've been stuck in lectures all day so that's taken my mind off hunger!
