Anyone on this thread or @carorees..just want to ask yr opinions?
DD did several weeks of 16:8 then this week did 19:5 and two 21:3s
After 21:3 today,DD went out for dinner in trendy new burger place..had crab cakes (starter) then posho burger n chips..drank a ginger beer with a shot of rum in it.
After eating she began to feel unwell..
shaky( not in hypoglycaemic way which she's experienced some yrs ago)... very hot and lips went numb (the numb mouth thing happened to me and @wildmissusa few months ago)
She generally felt ill and had to lie on floor..felt better after a short while and after drinking some water but teeth started chattering. Was able to walk home and is ok now, drinking peppermint tea.
She was out for dinner with friends a few wks ago and had same attack but that time it was before she ate ( she was on 16:8 that day)
Any ideas?Could 21:3 perhaps be a bit too much? Her general health isnt good..like me she has ME/ CFS. Thanks for reading x
Oh dear @CandiceMarie, it does sound as if 21/3 is too much for your daughter, and maybe even 19/5. I hope she has fully recovered already? I have not experienced anything like this in my time on 19/5, and I have done some days that turned out to,be 20/4 - not by design, they just did. Maybe carorees can advise, and perhaps it may be safer for your daughter just to do 5:2 for a while or go and see a doc?
Thanks Barb@barbarita she feels fine now x will be a shame if she has to just do basic 5:2 as she has really embraced small eating windows and was finding them very do-able,but it is quite worrying she's had these two funny turns  x sounds like could be low BP.. :?:
@Candicemarie I'm no expert either but it sounds as if her body is rebelling against the longer fasting times maybe a milky drink or something similar to bridge the gap, sorry can only offer that and my bestest wishes to her glad all seems to be ok now.
Check-up time maybe.
hey guys! just a v quick one as early night for me :) I have had a look on BUPA website about low blood pressure and the common everyday reasons for a sudden drop include right after a meal and when dehydrated - I suspect with the 21/3, ie just one big meal, it has been a bit of a shock to the system, esp as high carb, and possibly I need to drink a bit more when going for a while without food. So panic over! I think 19/5 will be my friend as with that you have time not to eat everything in one main go, and I'll keep the herbal teas coming (even more) :P Thanks for the love!! Hope everyone is good x
Hmm, I' m thinkin of trying 18:6 on non fast days...DD has joined Bert Herrings fastfive FB group. X
Well i just about managed a 16:8 today..with lots of help from my fasting coach@elc80
The kitchen is very firmly closed now for both of us..Coach only ate in a two and a half hour window, with no fuss...unlike me! :curse: xx
Glad you've got someone helping you @CandiceMarie
it was only a matter of time before you got banged up, locked up and now locked out of your own kitchen. nice on @elc80
No one can ever shut you up though you little chatterbox you.

I know @Sue.Q ..my gob is always open either chattering or filling my face! x
No one can ever bang me up tho..i' m footloose an' fancyfree!
Ps i wdnt mind being locked in a trunk to go on a holibobz tho..hope youve got space in that case to smuggle me to Greece :like:
Just a thought - could the alcohol have been the problem? I'm always a bit wary of drinking alcohol after fasting. Glad you are OK now elc80

Just how big do you think my case is?
Sue@Sue.qPlenty of space for a dainty little thing like me! xx
@madcatlady I think yr right and booze is quite a headrush after a fast! Will def exercise caution... I think I was just being too greedy and need to break with a snacky rather than a big ol' monster-sized meal
Like mother like daughter!

DD was born at 11.50 a.m., she was in a great rush, born after two plus hours labour, arrived in good time for lunch, and as she always says, has never missed a meal since! Not til finding IF anyways! X
Joining this tent for a while if I may. I forgot I did 16:8 last year and it worked very well for me. I'm not travelling so much for the next few weeks so I can be in more control.
