Fasting today (and I need it after dinner out at friends last night with 2 helpings of bread and butter pudding   ) I'm expecting it to be a bit tougher today as its half term so I'm not at work and I have the kids around.

A huge pile of washing and ironing should help distract me

I am fasting today for 2nd day in a row which I am bit anxious about. Messed up a bit over half term which was disappointing but this week should be back to normal. Think I had better have some soup or something for lunch as need to take the kids to swimming lessons tonight so won't be able to eat till about 8. Looking forward to tomorrow.

Also fasting today, and really glad to be. Had one heck of an eating weekend! Actually welcomed the sound of my tummy rumbling this morning - I've managed to eat until uncomfortably full this weekend, which wasn't a nice feeling.
But I'm not feeling guilty about it and I'm not going to obsess with what the scales might say on Friday either - it's just one week out of the whole of my life!

Finding it a bit tough today
18 Feb 2013, 10:00
I've had a bit of an easy run up until today. I haven't had much trouble with my fast day for the previous eight fasts, but for some reason today, it hasn't been easy.

I didn't sleep well last night and got up at sparrow's to go to my exercise session which was extremely tough. I was already feeling a bit weary from playing 18 holes of golf yesterday on a course that is very hilly - my fitbit said I walked around 12 km and went up the equivalent of 60 flights of stairs.

So by the time I got to work this morning I was feeling less than chipper. I managed to get through the day with black teas, water and my soup for lunch. But I was just about to cook myself dinner, and opened the pantry door - saw an open pack of biscuits....and couldn't help myself. No real harm done. I am now cooking my fish for dinner and hopefully an early night. Sigh

Today is my 2nd fast...good luck all x
Hi Mousie. Try to remember the 'it's only 'til tomorrow' mantra. I am on my fourth fast today and whenever a pang comes I just think 'It'll pass and anyway, I can eat really well tomorrow'. Also, dwell on all that exercise you've done. You're doing your body great favours- feel proud. Even a bit smug if you like. ;-) Take care, enjoy your dinner and rest. Tomorrow is not too far away! :-)
Just thinking about the exercise wears me out.....stay with it it's not the end of the world and your doing great.

Fasting Today - But it's a secret

I'm staying with my elderly mother for a few days over Half Term, and I don't want to have to explain/justify it to her, so I am secretly fasting. I have some Strawberries for mid morning and a can of Weightwatchers tomato soup (as recommended here) for lunch.
5th Fast day for me -but don't tell anyone
Good Luck everyone :)

Fasting today having had a busy week last week, and another one this week.

This is my fourth week and my 8th fast. Did two consecutive days on my first week, three the following week and two last week. Aiming for two this week. I'm generally finding them ok, but there have been two days when I struggled and was described on one as a 'Grumpy Old Girl' by my Daughter!! Could have been worse, she could have called me a 'Grumpy Old WOMAN'.

Still haven't got a clue what I have lost, but I know I've lost something as I can now get into a brand new pair of Levi jeans, that I haven't been able to wear since I bought them in 2007!!!

Good luck everyone!! :P
