First fast of the week! Who's joining me?

Morning Caroline and all the others to follow! I am fasting today.

Plans are nothing to eat until dinner as out and about all day at meetings for work - lots of water and black coffee should keep me going.

Having not mentioned I was doing this at all I found that my sister has been reading 'the book' in preparation for first fast this week!

Good luck to everyone fasting today.
Starting week 3 fasting today and Wednesday. Had a good first week, but gained a kilo in week 2, still means I am down overall, so I muistn't let that undo the sense of disappointment. If only Glenda hadn't got me that box of chocolates on Valentines day, or perhaps if I had left her a couple........

Other than that a great week, with my first grandson Louie George born on Sunday midday albeit miles away in Canberra, still he looks just bonza, and I will see him in December which is getting closer all the while.

Now I must concentrate on work and todays fast

Well I have 1 pound to go and fasting today, but have the added liability of a 'hangover' to fight against.. Zero sugar energy drinks, water, bovril, coffee (with skimmed milk)and at least 10 visits to the toilet for me today until I pig out on my 500 calorie chicken dinner tonight..

Good luck all !!
Good luck with your fast and congrats on your new grandson.
Fast Day No. 5

Started my day with my favourite brekkie, 100g cottage cheese, 1 slice ham and a pear. I'm amazed that it keeps me hunger free until my evening meal which will be either salmon or tuna with steamed veg. Not yet into more culinary meals as I like quickly prepared meals. 5lbs lost so far. In the long run, I am hoping that this diet will wean me off chocolate and cakes. Or, at least, to stop at one cake or one piece of chocolate! Still waiting for the bags of energy. I guess it doesn't help when I spend 7 hours a day on my feet working in a shop and dashing around. Shop Assistants, please feel free to back me up on this.

Beginning to have thoughts of making some new summer clothes ... when I've lost a few more pounds.
Hello Moscow :D
Put the previous weeks mishaps behind you and soldier on to make this week a positive one for you. Take one fast day at a time, keep busy (guess you will with work), I'm sure you can stay focused as you know what you want to get out of this. Valentines has now gone and any scrumptious activities coming up in the future just try to plan around them, so they don't vandalise your fasting.
Congratulations on the birth of your grandson, I know what a joy this will bring you. You will be so much healthier, slimmer and fitter when you finally meet him in December.
We are all in this together - so Good Luck!
Feeling awful!

I had a terrible day yesterday, definetly could not be classed as a normal day of eating!Due to circumstances literally ate biscuits, cheese slices, chocolate and a doughnut and nothing else, just rubbish all day!!
Feel awful today and actually looking forward to doing my fast day but got to get eating in between in control,I put on a 1lb today!!
Good luck everyone else fasting today, this seems to work for most people and I have got to work to be one of those :( :( :( :( :(

I feel for you, I have had those days, dinnet a bucket of peanut M&Ms for dinner and then wondering why I can't sleep with a monstrous sugar headache.
Don't beat yourself up over it, we all have been there I suspect. Give yourself permission to fail occasionally and focus on tomorrow. Remember what Scarlett O'Hara said;)

Hi Precilla :D
Great start with the weight loss. Sounds like your job is very active, which helps with losing the weight. I know what it's like to work on your feet all day, so I do feel for you! I'm recently retired and had begun to be a bit of a sloth, so picked myself up and started voluntary work,as well as walking for an hour or more most days.
Very talented if you can make your own clothes. I have a sewing machine, but alas, not very confident on it, maybe I need to attend a class.
Good Luck hun. Kay
