Apologies for overuse of exclamation marks - made the post look a bit desperate, when I'm actually feeling quite positive and calm.
Me too today, good luck to all.
:clover:
Me too, second fast of the week.Still at home on holiday, chronic pain bad today but hopefully will be easier fast than Monday (couldn't be worse)as not feeling hungry - right now.
Good luck everyone!
I'm fasting today. Missed my usual Monday as busy with Passover, but quite enjoying today so far!
Fasting today, too! Wasn't hungry until noon interestingly, had a couple of poached eggs and steamed broccoli. I did have a bite of my kid's brownie before I knew what I was doing. But I forgive myself :) Keep forgetting to drink, will have some sparkling water with a squeeze of lemon. Tonight will be ful (Arab fava bean soup) with maybe some steamed veggies on the side. There is something so satisfying about a hot meal on a fast day!
Hi guys, just wanted to wish you all luck for today.. I fasted yesterday and managed to eat nothing all day, then a small portion of bangers and mash for tea.

I found i was really cold all day... My advise, keep moving and add layers if you're feeling cold rather than reaching for a comforting snack! And if you're struggling up your water content... Your pee should be totally clear!

Good luck
Fasting today too.
It is going well except for the fact it is really cold here for the moment.
My feet are freezing!

Good luck everybody!
I'm joining all you Wednesday fasters this week. Normally I'm a Monday/Thursday girl but as I realised late Sunday afternoon that I hadn't actually eaten I converted that day to a fast in the hope that I might manage a 4:3 week this week just to confuse my body a bit! Will see how things work out for fasting Friday as well. Don't you just love the flexibility of this plan?

Think its going to be a chilly day with lots of Bovril as its snowing hard here again and you don't need that on a fast day!
Joining you today, second fast of the week, hopefully do a third one on Friday as well to compensate for Easter. Been busy all morning, not hungry at all, drinking my large mug of peppermint tea now and reading the forum. Good luck everyone.
Hello, new to forums and new to fasting...day 2 for me. I've got the Hairy Dieters book and its great, some things take a while to prepare though.

My question to all you knowledgeable people out there is...Carbs! What can I eat with my dinner? At the moment i'm surviving on 100g (cooked weight) egg noodles to compliment my low cal Hairy Dieters Paprika Chicken. I've be scared off potatoes because of the sugar spike. Have I got this all wrong??

Well done by the way to everyone who's fasting today...remember its only a matter of hours.
My second fast this week...one more to go. This will be my first time splitting my calories over two meals. I'm a little nervous about how hungry that will make me, as I really enjoy my substantial supper.

I am grateful, though, to be able to meet a friend for lunch, and that my work cafeteria has a beautiful, fresh salad bar. I'm planning on lots of lettuce to fill me up for lunch, as I want to save most of my calories for my church's vegan potluck meal tonight.

Feeling chilly at the moment, and I'm hoping a cup of coffee will warm me up. Happy fasting, everyone.
I won't be able to do the second fast of the week tomorrow or Friday so am fitting it in today. 10th so far and going well today. I made lentil, chickpea (but with pinto beans as I was all out of chickpeas!) and chilli soup last night so it will have had a good old stew ready for dinner tonight.
I am normally a Monday/Wednesday/Friday faster but got into a Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday routine after St.patricks Day - we had Monday off, and because my sisters 30th is Friday, however my lovely hubby came home from work last night and said "lets eat out" which never happens but the kids are away with granny for a little holiday - I could not say no. Loving how flexible the plan is for that. My problem now is do I fast today and tomorrow so I can eat on Friday or do I revert to a 2 fast days week for this week?? 1 lb off my first stone loss (week 9) and really want to stay on track - 3 more stone to go and feeling amazing, but very hungry today for some reason
I'm on my 2nd fast of the week. After my fast on Mon, I weighed the same as last week (trying to only weigh myself once a week). Since I was not tracking very carefully at first, I'm not concerned but I am curious if I will post an actual loss by next week. Took a walk this am and will be having a light lunch and dinner. I found breakfast & dinner to be very challenging on Mon. Good luck to all my fellow fasters!
Could you do 2 fast days and a day where you just restrict your eating to a fixed 8 hour window? I've done that and its worked for me. Life has been rather haphazzard here as hubby has been in hospital 5 times since New Year and I don't know of any other plan that would have fitted quite so well round all the visiting and then the follow up clinic appointments. My diet is quite restrictive at best as I'm coeliac and also have to avoid the nightshade foods with this WOL I can fit my eating around what food is available to me. I've found the 8 hour window system very useful when I can only manage to fit in one full fast day.

Oh boy, I'm so glad I found this forum! This is my 17th fast day and I have really had no problems at all until today. Today its a real struggle. I have a monster headache and I am as narky as hell! I could cheerfully knife anyone who crosses me today! Maybe its just because things have rather mounted up stress-wise this week and also my fibromyalgia is flaring. Its a real bear of a day today though! Normally don't eat until evening but I've blown 80 cals on a couple of Baby Bel cheeses to stave off the wobblies.
