Fasting today Monday 15th April
14 Apr 2013, 22:08
Well as no one else has started this thread this morning here we go. Doing my normal Monday fast today after a very indulgent weekend with two dinners out, lots of wine and we have finally finished the Easter choccies. Looking forward to giving my system a rest today. Busy day at work ahead so won't have time to think about food and I will go for a walk at lunchtime. Happy Monday fasting everybody!
I was going to fast tomorrow, but have now arranged to meet a friend for a beer. And as I am still finishing off the snacks and glass of wine, I can't really twist it to persuade myself that I've done 24 hours - it will only be 21 or 22 max. SIGH have to make it happen on holiday - very hard as we're camping, so weight restricted (not me!! I'm thinking kitchen equipment like scales).
Any ideas for how to fast on a camping holiday?
I'm in Pilchards!
Though you'll nearly have finished by the time I start. It's still Sunday here...
Have a good day!

As for camping, err, is just do a one pot stew/soup/stir fry in the evening, just sticking to drinks during the day. Same as at home! Sorry, not much help!
OH and I fasting as soon as it's morning here. :-) Hope we have a good weigh in day. He didn't do as good last week as we thought he would.
I'm fasting too. I woke up with a horrid head cold so I'm feeling very sorry for myself. But will get the first fast of the week over with and hopefully feel better tomorrow.
We're fasting today. It's the 2nd week. We've both lost weight and centimetres. I've lost 2.6kg and 2 cm and OH has lost 3.8kg and he's only just measured his waist, so he doesn't know in centimetres but he says his jeans feel looser. Woopee. It' going to be a super busy day with house renovations as today is the day the old kitchen is ripped out ready for the new one to go in. First up we have to finish packing everything into boxes and find a place for all those boxes. No time to think about being hungry.....I hope. We've just had a serve of meusli and berries for breakfast and a coffee with only a small dash of milk - not the usual half milk/half coffee which we usually. have. Go well, everyone.
I'm in as usual!

Very eager to fast when I weighed myself this morning and found my lowest weight since I started losing! I am one month and two days into 5:2 and I have lost 2.8kg. Very happy considering all the effort I have put in (none!) compared to what I went through to lose the 20.2kg before that!!!

I am really happy to be joining you all today!
Also fasting today. Haven't eaten anything yet and am not really hungry. A real breakthrough. Can't decide whether I should have something now or eat it all in one go later. Go well everyone.
I'm in too! Planning to have an early dinner of sushi as I'm going out to a talk tonight, drinking lots of water and black coffee to keep me going in the meantime. It's a wet and grey autumn day...

Hope you feel better soon Wineoclock!
Wineoclock, I have help on the way!

Good morning, all we southern Aussie and NZ fasters are well on our way!
I've been for my lap swimming and having a black coffee now. ( I didn't think I would ever enjoy black coffee but have become totally used to it!)
Sorry you are crook Wineo'clock but help is on it's way- he he Fishbaum. I'm sure it's a bit foggy and cool up in the Mountains today so snuggle up.
I'm so happy to be losing slow and steadily whilst still enjoying a "normal" diet most days.
Probably just have my steamed veges and fruit again tonight- I don't need to weigh them any more so its easy peasy.
Family will have leftovers from last night plus extra veges and pasta or rice.
Have a good day everyone.
I'm in too! same old black coffee for breakfast and thai pumpkin soup for lunch!

Having spag bol for dinner, hopefully with some slim pasta if I can get my hands on some, otherwise I might just have to have the sauce! Or maybe cauliflower mash with chicken! Unprepared today which is not good, hopefully the monday weigh in will go well given I had quite an indulgent weekend! Fingers crossed!
Thanks everyone for your get well wishes and Fishbaum for the help van!!! Amazing how much better I feel after a good laugh. I've given up trying to be at work and am now at home with iPad and you wonderful people to keep me amused.
I've finally figured out how to put a thank you on people's posts and I didn't even have to ask my 20 year old.
Now to await the emergency wine van
I'm also in. This is just my second week, and to my horror this morning I had put on about 1/2 kg (thankfully my body fat seems to have gone down by an infinitesimal amount - so there is some hope).
So far I've had two cups of tea (with only a tbsp milk), gonna keep going with liquids (tea, coffee, water) and see how long i can last before I have to eat.
Feeling much more relaxed about fasting today - last week I kinda spent my fast days obsessing about food and what I wasn't eating
I think I head out for a walk while the sun's out, and get some supplies for my evening meal.
good luck to all
Wizzywig- On to my 7th week now and am tracking my daily weight just for interest, and it is really amazing how much it varies day to day! You may have just weighed on an "up" day!
And the fasting definitely gets easier as you go on, although I've found that there is a day here or there that is harder for no known reason.
Good luck!
