My husband and are both fasting today. It's the start of our twelfth week and we are both very pleased with our weight loss so far - 16.5 lb for him, 17 lb for me. I have a lot to do on the computer today - end of year stuff for our company. This means that I will struggle to stop myself being on the forum all day, so probably even more posts than usual from me today. Apologies in advance!

Good luck to all fasting today! Onwards and downwards!

I initially found the thought of exercising on a fast day, pretty daunting. Thought I'd be weak and feel faint. But the reality is that it's actually pretty do-able (for me at any rate, I know it's different for everyone) and I agree it really kicks any hunger pangs to touch!

I've cycled to work this morning (8.8 miles each way) and have had nothing but black coffee, water and herbal tea. Will have all my calories in one meal this evening and although the bouts of uphill cycling on the way home this afternoon will feel a bit tough, I'll manage it and keep my mind on the good it's doing me!
I'm in too. Just stopped for a mug of Kimchi soup (it's mighty spicy!). Apart from that, I aim to get to tonight's meal with nothing more. It'll be the first time I'll have achieved that.

Good luck, fellow fasters!
Also fasting today. 11th week. Going ok. I was in Paris last week for work and while I managed the Monday fast fine I delayed the second fast until Saturday. Good luck to other fellow fasters today. :) At least it is a bit warmer and that helps!

Shrinkingrose - I find the cycle home to be harder than the cycle in the morning. :) I think it does help with toning up as I notice the difference on weeks when i have not been able to cycle as much.
Yes me, me, I'm in today too, so is hubby we're on our third fast since our start last week. Just had a few carrot batons for my 'lunch' to keep me going till later.
Biggest surprise is I'm actually finding it quite easy too!
My friend at work has started today so we're supporting each other well today.....it helps!
Yup, me too. Starting Week 12 with a loss to date (well, on Saturday morning when I weighed) of 17.33Ibs or 7.8kgs. I've just read this account of extraordinary weight loss which should be inspiration to everyone with a lot of weight to lose. Good luck all.

I'm in too. 2nd week, had the weekend to relax and was happy I didn't go bananas with my intake, feel lighter from last weeks success. Will have two meals to meet my calorie quota. Good luck fellow repair day people !
Feeling miserable today as have fever, sore throat and runny nose :(
Staying at home today. Thankfully woke up at 12, so will only have to fast 6 hours until dinner, should help alleviate the sore throat as well :)
Starting my 6th week today I think :)

Cycle home is definitely harder! I'm hoping the fact that the sun is shining will help, as will the fact that I'll be dodging all the countless roadworks and traffic jams. The gusty wind right in my face, however, will possibly add to the challenge!!

If I'm not feeling too done in, I might really go for it and do my Couch To 5K run when I get home too - I'm only at the point where it's running for two lots of 10 minutes tonight, so it might be doable :)

Feeling lean and positive today, which is amazing really as I polished off half a bottle of red wine with my curry last night (Hairy Dieters Jalfrezi - yum - with big fat naan bread and wholegrain rice) and homemade raspberry swirled cheesecake.
I am fasting today. Half mile swim this morning. Tomato and basil soup and crisp bread for lunch. Not sure what ill have for dinner yet, was planning a veggie mince spag bol and shredded cabbage instead of pasta. I am very tired today and am revising so its hard not to be craving carbs. Roll on breakfast tomorrow!
I've started today and so far I'm doing ok.... I think :dazed: for breakfast I had a porridge sachet and some semi skimmed milk, I've been having water and herbal tea throughout the day and for dinner I'm going to have lots of vegetables with a quarter cup of rice and half a tablespoon of tamari. My hubby is doing it too, (he is at work tho) I'm keeping busy at home, looking forward to school pick to get my mind off it. Hope other fasters are doing ok today.
Our fast day and weigh in has started...Our 7th week. Weigh in has him down 11 lbs. and me 15 lbs. So we are very happy. Now to keep busy today so as not to think about not eating! I found busyness helps a lot. ;-)
I'm in. I do Mondays and Fridays and, as I started fasting on Friday, I think of this as my 'last' fast of the week, not the first!

Planning on a chicken & mushroom pasta dish for tea then off to the cinema. It'll just be drinks till then because I'm one of those people who finds it easier not to start eating.

Doubt I'll have lost anything this week as an Awayday from work involving lots of food and some alochol last Thursday will probably have snookered that. But I've lost an inch off my waist over the last couple of weeks, so it isn't all bad. It's just a bit longer to my goal...

Got an aerobic exercise DVD that I've started doing every weekday, so I'm hoping that will repair some of the damage.
I'm in today too! So far been to 2 coffee shops and the m&s food hall- i can now shop and cook on fast days with no temptation to munch - about to crack on with some work, then training sesh tonight at 730 with the girlies down the boxing gym - have a great day everyone!
Made it to bed time. Fast 3 bites the dust now to dream of what I'm going to have for breakfast!
