Yes, good luck all. I'm a Tuesday (and Thursday) faster.

No breakfast for me, I will go till about 1:30 this afternoon when I'll have two bananas and then about 17:30 something nice from the Marks & Sparks count on us range to keep me within the 600 calories.

I can then safely wake up to a bacon sandwich tomorrow morning
Ohh my bacon I think I will join u tomorrow as I have bacon in fridge !!
Second fast for me rather hungry on the bus to work...
This my 10th fast in my 8th week. Had a cup of tea with skimmed milk so far, will have a couple of Bovil cubes during the day and have homemade Thai veg soup for lunch which thankfully I managed to remember to bring into work!

Quite excited by tonight's dinner, I shall be cooking the Hairy Dieters Cassoulet recipe which looks quite the opposite of a diet recipe but is apparently only 470ish calories!

This will put me a bit over I think calories wise today but I think I can live with that as I've been walking/running 3 times a week for the last 2 weeks. I've been doing one of the C25K apps and it seems to be working well for me.

Good luck to everyone fasting today!
Week 2 and 3rd fast, seems to be going well, not eaten anything yet and don't intend too unless I'm really hungry, or at lunch.

It's going very well I feel in control. Was highly surprised by the weekend too, normally I eat a huge pack of crisps to myself instead I just nibbled at it as I found I didn't want the crisps as much and just put them away when I had enough. This is incredible behaviour for me.
Hi all, the second fast of the week for me - I fasted yesterday too. Feeling a bit pecksh but not too bad at all. I did mon/tues back-to-back fasts last week and they went well so hoping for more of the same today. Good luck all!
After attending a conference over the weekend and hence eating out/drinking booze for four consecutive days, I am very much in need of today's fast...
First fast of the week for me. I do Tuesdays and Sundays.

Good luck everyone!
Fasting today - 11th fast, 6th week. I'm usually a Monday faster but it was my son's 10th birthday yesterday and he'd requested toad-in-the-hole with mash, carrots and gravy for dinner and I didn't want to deprive myself! Interestingly I'd made his favourite victoria sponge for pudding but I didn't fancy any - very unlike me as I LOVE victoria sponge. The leftovers are now sitting in the kitchen shouting at me but happily I still don't fancy any. If it's edible I'll treat myself to a little bit tomorrow.

I really missed not fasting yesterday so was glad to get back on the wagon today.
I've been doing this thing for just over two months...it's generally easy, though today I do feel a bit light headed, so I may have a bit more than CuppaSoup at lunch (a couple of biscottes will take it to about 100 calories) We have Keralan Prawn curry planned for dinner (you can find the recipe via my blog fatdormouse.wibsite.com)...it sounds yummy.
I've not lost a huge amount of weight (but I do very little exercise) but my clothes are looser. And I've seen a downturn in cholesterol too. Mr FD has lost more than me (he exercises a LOT more than me!)I'm content with this WOL though!
Ladies do you find that just before your period your appetite SKYROCKETS? Thankfully my period arrived this morning after a week of feeling permo hungry. Grrrrrr being a woman!
Ooh just started the diet today! (5:2) after reading up yesterday. i have so far had an apple and going to have chicken and veg for tea but will work it out on my lunch how many calories tea will be and then perhaps have a small lunch. any advice for me?!!? I used to use fitness pal so back on this as it makes it easier to track what I eat! also had been doing the harcombe but its just too hard and i platued for ages. i have done atkins though in the past and i think i am now a carbs no go body :(

My 7th fast today, and will be having soups today. Not only are they already calorie counted for me but you benefit from the sieve effect too so double bonus as far as I can tell. Hope everyone has a good day.

I'm fasting today too!
Someone was asking what the sieve effect of soups is. This is basically where a soup of e.g. blended chicken, vegetables and water makes you feel much more full than if you just ate the same amount of chicken & veg and drank the water separately in a glass. ~This is because your stomach can allow plain water to pass straight through (like a sieve), but when it is blended with food, your stomach hangs onto all the blended mixture making you feel full for longer!

Have a good fasting day everyone!
Fasting today - had a huge blow out over the weekend as away with the family at my brother's down south. Blow out included take away curry and that well known establishment with the golden arches (honestly only ever a twice a year visit for me!) plus plenty of red wine! Bring on the fast !!! Water and black coffee - yummy!
Hi everyone (:

My first day fasting today... I accidentally began fasting last night as I had an early dinner and had no food in the house, so after cheese toastie o'clock I went to bed starving!

Did a big healthy food shop this morning and have had my first fast meal, scrambled eggs with chive and feta. Clocked in at just under 300 calories so I think I might have some tomato/lentil soup tonight, try out that sieve effect that's been mentioned...

Not going too badly so far. Think I'll hit the gym instead of lunch :D

Ooh, the Fast Diet book has arrived literally as I was typing this!
1st week, 2nd fast. I was pleasantly surprised how easy day one was. Day two so far isn't so bad, but I tend to get the munchies in the afternoon and being at work the chocolate machine is always close by! An endless supply of Chai and water will hopefully do the job
