OK! I'm in!
First day and i will start with a fast. Woo Hoo,here we go
I'm another one fasting today; this is my fourth fast. I'm late posting because I started a 'get running' programme this morning and when I came in I got hit by a barrage of emails and phone calls  Still, they've distracted me which is not bad thing as today is the first day I've actually felt properly hungry since starting. I guess that's the shock of exercise hitting my body LOL. I used to run and do military style training regularly but at the end of last year I had my gallbladder removed and I just never got started again... till today

I plan to generally fast on a Monday and Wednesday, but the children were still off school yesterday and I had a busy day so it didn't fit in. I will fast again on Friday. I love that you can just pick your days to fit your week!
Hi all, am fasting in London. Took an unplanned week off last week and was pleasantly surprised to find i'd lost 2lb... So cockily i took the rest of the weekend off after saturday weigh in..i'm talking wine, chocs and general snacking... Only to find i'd piled it back on! Whoops but a wake up call was needed!

Fasting today and thursday before my next weigh in so i don't have to record a gain!

Drinking buckets of water, peppermint tea and just had some miso soup for lunch. Salmon and veg for my tea tonight!

Good luck all..
Fasting in London? Oh my, sounds so much better than fasting in Athens!!!

I made a pot of peas, carrots, lettuce, spring onions and dill. 400 calories for the whole lot, I just had half of it.
Lunchtime for me and first food of the day is a kids selection box of Cheerios I am eating them out the bag no milk and its surprising how nice they are! 95 cals!
5th fast day but ate a larg-ish breakfast prior to gym and had an apple post gym, so already feel I've blown it! trying to be good now until supper time and will try to be really good then...sigh. No weight lost this past week. Want to persevere

Pip wrote: Ladies do you find that just before your period your appetite SKYROCKETS? Thankfully my period arrived this morning after a week of feeling permo hungry. Grrrrrr being a woman!

Oh yes, especially carbs and chocolate - I'm also using it as the excuse for putting on 1lb this week!
I'm in too! Usually a Monday and Thursday faster, but staying in swish hotel Weds night, so no way am I going to miss Thurs breakfast - hence if I'm not fasting till Friday I had the choice of yesterday or today, and as I had so much to do yesterday decided to fast today. Not sure that was the most sensible decision, as I've more time to think about being hungry today ... but it's done now.

This is my 6th week - so fast day 11 today

2 black coffees and a veg. Oxo so far. Thick home-made soup tonight.

It's bad isn't it?

Although now that Aunt Flow arrived this morning, I feel like I've lost a stone! lol
Yes, hormones can be very demanding. My OBGYN told me to always listen to my body when I have my period. Even if I'm on a diet, if I crave something sweet then I should eat it, even a small piece of good quality chocolate.
She also told me that when we crave for something for more than a few minutes, to a)eat it and b)look out for the same cravings again and again.
Apparently, when we are lacking of a vitamin, our body asks for it. It does sound weird but when I told a friend she said that when her mum was pregnant she was craving for tomatoes. She told her doctor and he prescribed her certain vitamins.
We are amazing creatures!!! :-)
I'm in!
Have just come back from two weeks holiday and put on 9 and half pounds!! We got back late last night and I was really pleased that I do Tuesdays and Thursdays, because I really feel good about getting back on track.
Having Hairy Dieters Spanish Style Chicken Bake tonight, after a day of loads of water.
Hi everyone, I have been away from 5:2 IF for 3 to 4 weeks for health reasons but I am better and back today. And in such a short time I regained 2 of my 5 pounds lost. It's been moderately easy today but I did succumb to a choca mocka so 100 calls gone. Never mind, have to get back into it. Off now to update my blog. Nice to be back.
Nothing but a cup of chicken Bovril so far, and dinner in about 90 mins, this is the longest I have Fasted without something like soup at lunchtime. Already planning tomorrow's breakfast
this is my first fast day and i won't lie i am hungry now but i think water should do the trick .

can anyone help and tell me how many calories should i aim for on a none fast day?
