I'm fasting today (normally fast on a monday but no way was I going to fast on a bank holiday!

My hubby is joining me today - he needs to lose maybe half a stone but is interested in the diet for the health benefits.

I don't mind fasting and I find the hunger pangs reassuring (am I weird!!)

I make spicy food on my fast days as spicy foods make me happy lol! So I 'll make a lentil and vegetable curry. It works out as around 350 calories for the whole pot and we'll split it. I'll put a bit of fish on for hubby too.
Morning everyone!

I'm in for today, I weighed in this morning and had lost 1lb. I'm a little dissapointed with my weight loss I have to admit (lbs in 5 weeks), but am determined to plough on. I've got into the swing of it now and am managing not to feel so hungry that I'm tempted. I haven't had to 'cheat' once on a fast day yet.

I was quite good at the weekend, went to a BBQ at a friends house and although I had a burger and a sausage, I avoided the pasta salad and potatoes, plus I opted to drive so wasn't tempted to drink.

I've come to the conclusion that I'm not going to lose mega amounts each week, maybe it's just the way I am. My body has been through a lot in recent years with cancer treatment and subsequent medication, but I'm off all that now and feel the need to 'cleanse'.

I've certainly noticed an increase in my energy levels since I started the diet which can only be a good thing!

Onwards and upwards!
I'm in!

Got epic constipation today. This is going to be hard (no pun intended).
Now that's really made me laugh!!
I'm in today ! ... had a calorific sat (alcohol) and Sun (recovering from alcohol ha ha !) nothing so far ... will have salad for lunch and not sure what for breakfast ..
Hello! Another Bank Holiday-delayed Monday faster here. It's a beautiful day and I'm freezing at work, trying a new regime as I think I miscalculated and haven't lost for a month! Also I have an unprecedented evening meeting, so I've had to rethink my dinner plans (hoisin duck no bread wrap from Pret, 144 cals). Fingers crossed it all works.

Good luck everyone!

I get cold when I'm fasting too. I wonder why this is? Energy conservation? :?:
I'm in today after a week's holiday which involved a lot of eating and no self control on my part! I was worried that after a week of excess today would be really hard but not too bad so far - fizzy water saves the day! Good luck everyone.
:?: Hi, I normally fast on monday but because of the bank holiday, I thought I would try today instead.I began the day with herb tea and then headed for the garden. After raking, sowing and sorting out the greenhouse, I sat down to drink some mint tea and then walked the dog. I have never done the following before, infact it is probably the first one that I have had this year, blame my hubby, he bought the multi-pack. Coming in from the morning sunshine, I felt weak and in need of something. I knew they were there and a sugar fix would give me energy! I reached up and opened the tin of naughty things. A MARS BAR!!! Well, I didn't have breakfast! I will forfeit tea or at least have thin soup.
Has anyone else committed such a crime before? Go on, behonest!
I'm in aswell today, normall a monday, but seems everyone caught the bank holiday sun bug and enjoyed themselves a little with booze and food (and why not). Feeling a lot less hungry than my previous 3 fast days (on my fourth).
Feeling good, just need to keep up the water and drinks :)
I'm in today too, and boy do I need it!! Went a bit mad over the weekend with KFC, pizza, Chinese takeaway and wine and the scales show an increase of 2.5kgs!! Now I know I haven't overeaten by 20,000kcals, so it must just be water, or at least most of it is, but it was still a shock!!

Back on the wagon today though. I'll be pleased to see a maintain for this week.
I'm in!
I did nothing but eating in the last 3 days and I have to stop!!!
You know you’re fasting when the kids’ Peppa Pig pasta shapes smell a la carte. *sigh*
I'm halfway through my fast today - I normally fast on Tuesdays. I let my guard down a little over the weekend (made triple-cooked chips with burgers for dinner on Saturday - my kids LOVE me! They are SO amazing!) with the lovely weather and excuses to drink wine but still exercised every single day. I'm wearing a skirt that is much too tight but it's keeping me motivated :-(. I met my husband at Pret at lunchtime and had to sip a Diet Coke while he scarfed a hoisin duck sandwich, packet of crisps and a yogurt drink. It wasn't too bad - he offered me a crisp - "go on, it's only one!" - but I really was not tempted. I will have a sandwich tonight on the train home as we have a parents' meeting at my son's school and then an apple with a smear of peanut butter (one of my favourite snacks) when I get home.
doing today and tomorrow. 4 day weekend coming up here, so off until next Monday after that.
