It's 9.20am Wednesday and no one is fasting today?

For me it will be week 3 fast 2 today. Monday went relatively uneventfully. The only real gripe was feeling cold, which I never really experienced before except when in the snow :)
It's midnight (12.29am), so after a sleep the Wednesday Fast Day begins. Got a feeling I'm going to be very hungry today as I gorged a bit over the bank holiday 0.0 I won't mention what I ate, since it's a fast day ;)
I am with you dude, trying for 36 liquid with fall back plan of regular 5:2 if I cave in. Have been out of my routine last week, kept up my 5:2 but want to get more on track. Breakfast at 8am tomorrow will be start of a feed day

So have a good day, am sure there must be more of us fasting today
About the cold, I keep saying to DH are you cold, methinks I am missing my extra layer I have shed. I am sure someone could tell us what is really going on :grin:

Please excuse the ignorance, but 36 liquid?

I assume 36 refers to the 36 hour period from dinner day 1 until breakfast day 3 on the reduced calories. For me, due to my unusual hours, it is more like 35 :)

Liquid? This mean no solids in the 36 hours? If so, that would be hard core. Not sure I could cope. I reserve all my calories for the evening meal with water or a swig of coffee during the day. And, I hang out fur that meal at the end of the day

I suspect the cold may be related to a decrease in metabolic activity?
Hey dude! Quick question, I am a newbie and I noticed you are on your 3rd week, have you lost any weight? I am on my second week and I know it takes awhile and it's different for everyone, but just seeing where you were at :)
Yeah I agree it might be a challenge
I have stalled after a good start so I just thought I might try fluids only
i will be having tea, coffee with milk, herb teas, broth and water.
Light exercise with walking the dog
If I find I am not managing I will opt for my favourite low cal meal of around 200 calories.
Just seeing what it is like and also want to balance not too much salt or caffeine

It has been a rocky 3 weeks as I tend to overdo things on weekends. However, even after my splurges, I have still managed a 2.3kg loss :) so yes, it does work

That's awesome! Last week was rough because it was my first fast week, but I am finding this week a tad easier. Hoping to lose weight on this because nothing else has worked for me! Glad you have had progress, thanks for your response! :)
I'm in today. Feeling a bit queasy which I think is genuine upset stomach and not hunger. Not really sure though. However I have made it halfway through the awake hours until I can have dinner - at 6pm. Find fasting while asleep quite easy ;)

Lucky you. I have another 8 hrs till a meal. But I am sure work will keep me busy.

Also, did not realise it was noon. It has been 16 hrs since I last ate, so 8 dies not seem so bad :) hope you feel better
I am going to try to fast today. Monday's fast was the worst ever, so I'd really like a longer break, but I have another hectic week with lots of work dinners, so I'm going for it today. If I feel ill, I will give up and try another day.

I'm going back and forth between 4:3 and 5:2. I started on 4:3 with the intention of switching, but I'm finding it hard to switch, partly because of weeks like this, partly because I think I'm afraid I won't lose on 5:2. I did 4:3 last week, fasting on Thursday, Saturday, and Monday. When I 4:3, the last day in the group of ADF is always hardest. So fasting today is crazy, right? ugh. I feel ok so far, after my usual soft-boiled egg and strawberries.
I am considering 4:3. More for the routine. I find currently on 5:2, I fast Mondays and Wednesdays. I am lucky in that I am not having much fast day problems. I am usually good the days following a fast, but by the time I hit the weekend, I begin to fall off the wagon with over indulging. I was hoping the extra fast day would help with my routine and discipline.

You noted that the last fast day of the cycle was the worst. Can I ask why? Need to see if this is a good idea or not.
