Fasting today?

I'm guessing the lower recovery time between fasts builds up, and by the 3rd fast it's at the peak. Alot of people do ADF, though, so I don't think it is a problem for everyone. And, as much as I have struggled with that third day, I have always stuck with it. I'm especially nervous today because it's a 4th fast day with only one feast day between fasts. This is the first time I've tried it.
I'm in too Dude only have about 4.5 hours to go - cup of veg soup for brekky about 40 cals + coffee w dash milk , then black coffee (I make 1/2 beans 1/2 decaf beans so I don't get too much caffeine) all day - will be home by 3pm, 8 cal hot choc, walk dogs on the beach, home, have a nap for half an hour,feed dogs, then feed me...lentil & veg curry...then I'll probably have another hot choc for dessert later
Im in today 2nd week, no loss last week, Rolled oats & coffee for breakfast 8:30am now 2pm still not hungry, veggie omlete coming up for dinner
19 hours in and I've just had a 100 calorie feast. I'm really finding it easier this week, less hunger. Hoping the scales will start to shift down, now I'm getting the hang of it.
I'm fasting today as well (my 8th) and have decided to try 4:3 instead of 5:2 for a couple of weeks, fasted on Monday, will do today and Friday. Have to say I've been very lucky and haven't struggled although I save all my calories for the evening meal. I have to admit I haven't quite plucked up the courage to enter the tracker yet :oops: as I have a lot to lose!
I'm in today. For the first time I will be attempting proper exercise as I've started the 30 day shred. I don't count swims as proper exercise for me! This could be interesting. Daily weighing is proceeding with 2kg variation so far :shock:
Hoping that adding in exercise helps to shift it a wee bit faster, but realistically am more likely to increase. Ho Hum, definitely on the slow boat ...
I'm fasting today until dinner time, when I'll have meal of around 300 cals. That worked well for me last Monday and Friday. This is my 4th fast overall and I want to do three this week because last week (my first week) I lost 3 cm on my waist but no weight, then over-indulged at the weekend and yesterday (on wine, mostly :curse: ) and I have social events coming up tomorrow and at the weekend ... I am so good on fast days, but am having trouble restraining myself on feed days! It's probably a common problem :oops:

It looks like you are not alone. For me it is week three and fast day two. I am using work as fast days but worry about the weekends too. I lost weight the first week, not the second but think next week will be better as this morning after a feed day I had lost quite a bit. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
MaryAnn I am like you - mostly 4:3, tho sometimes I don't do the 3rd Fast and like u doing ADF this week as I got a bit out of sync with my days, so Mon/Wed/Fri/Sun then I will do Tues/Thurs/Sun next week. I have found this week the easiest ever - no real hunger. You have had good weight loss so far, so it is obviously working for you.
I'm fasting today also, so thought I'd just drop in my tuppence worth :)

Today is only my second ever fast so I'm a little nervous but hopeful too.
Had a very disturbed sleep last night, and woke up hungry a few times in the middle of the night as I decided to try starting the fast after dinner at 8pm, without my usual tiny snack before bed. Just persevering and being strict with myself to prove I can do it.
On my first fast day I had a late breakfast of porridge and then dinner at around 8pm as I get too shaky and light headed to go right through til dinner without anything so will try the same approach today. Fingers crossed!!
I'm in today too. Have had to go for 2 days in a row this week. Fortunately, I have meetings in town, so I won't be sitting at my desk thinking about food like I was yesterday. Since it's my first week it's too early to tell how I am feeling with it, but I was definitely hungry yesterday! Enjoy today everyone!
Two days fasting in a row for your first week! That's pretty hard core. Best of luck! :)
I doing it today - going to be easy - I've broken a tooth and I'm shredding my tongue every time I try to eat! Now waiting for a dentist to call me back with an appointment.
