Fasting again today. Going to have a green tea to warm up. Any others liquid fasting today?
I ended up fasting today as decided Wednesday would suit better than Thursday. Have managed to feel cold all day today despite the warm weather! Thought I might eat something earlier, but put it off until it got to the loss of hunger stage so pleased I stuck with it today. Might even do another fast on Friday, but will see how I feel and just enjoy tomorrows breakfast! Nom, nom, nom!
I'm not able to follow a liquid diet, unfortunately - my wife worries if I don't eat dinner! So I simply eat as few calories as I can reasonably manage on the evening of the fast day.

I went from 7pm on Monday until 10am this morning on a <300 cal vegan lasagne on Tuesday evening:

When I was having my breakfast of spicy fruit naan and banana, I realised that this was also less than 300 calories. So my 'fast' was actually one of <600 calories over a 42 hour period if I had lunch at 1pm.

Extending this thought to you real liquid fasters, if you only consume 250 calories each for breakfast and lunch on the day after your fast, you're technically still in the fasting zone for 48 hours, iyswim?

Throw it in a blender with a cup or two of water, and you can follow a liquid fast!
Does a vegetable juice count as a liquid fast? even thogh it will have calories?
Totally depends on you Bondi Brit.

I count fasting as less than 10 calories, as I read somewhere that that keeps your body in a proper fasting state. So I only have water and things with negligible calories like green tea, rooibos (no milk) and crio bru.

Other people are having liquid only (soups, juices etc) but keeping it well below the 500/600 calories needed for 5:2.

5:2 isn't actually fasting two days a week. It's reducing calories 2 days a week.

Btw, absolutely no judgement call in any of this - to me it's the beauty of 5:2, Intermittent fasting and all the variants - you can find out what works for you. It seems to vary hugely, which is to be expected. We're all so very different.
Fast done, enjoying a milky cup of tea and bagel packed for breakfast when I get to work! Yey! First time wearing a pair of trousers I didn't fit into that now fit, feeling a bit self conscious as used to very baggy trousers now! Surely people will notice weight loss today! We'll see! Happy Thursday fasting everyone :0)
Hey Mariposa - bet the trousers look great

I'm in today - quite looking forward to it, as I overdid the wine last night and slept badly, and want to do something good for me today.
I'm in today too but not sure how it will go. We are back in the UK and staying at my mum's. everything's gone a bit haywire since we've come back and I've not fasted at all just been doing16:8 everyday. Also I the scales here are not digital and I'm not sure how accurate they are. They say I've lost another pound but I think I'll put that down to the different scales.

Hopefully today will set me back on track and I can establish a regular routine. I think my UK days will be Monday and Thursday with a Saturday option if I need it.

Got lots of comments from people who haven't seen me since I started this WOE. They haven't seen me for three months and it's great to know they can see a difference :) Mariposa I'm sure people will notice :)

Good luck to everyone else fasting today x
I'm in again for today. I felt really fat yesterday but I haven't been overeating...I haven't had time. Hopefully when I weigh myself tomorrow the scales will be kind. Just had a jug of water for breakfast and am going to get ready to go to work.

Bet you look great in your slim line trousers mariposa.
Hi all

I am on my second liquid only fast this week - also did last week to get me out of a plateau - it worked! 2lb off last week

Had a rocky start this morning and nearly caved in due to feeling soooo nauseous with hunger. Had the same yesterday morning when trying to skip breakfast - ended up eating half a banana and a few nuts at 10.30!

Anyway the nausea has now passed, but I don't know why I've started getting this after doing 16 successful fasts and three previous liquid only fasts. Any ideas anyone?

Hoping to make it through today...only 4lb left to lose, and i'm so close...!

Hope everyone else liquid fasting today gets on well.

x
I sometimes feel naseus too - sorry can't offer any tips. Been really hungry today, but determined to make it through.

Not long till the weekend
Failed  - ended up doing 500 cals instead. I've decided its hormone related, soooo hungry today, never been like this before. Quite new to liquid fasting so it's all a learning curve, I won't beat myself up, but do hope to see a loss tomorrow morning at my weigh in!

Nope, that's not a fail! You didn't make it this time - but you will next time!

500 calories is 1500 less than you would have had - if you believe WW, et al!
