Think I'll be fine now, bed in couple of hours. Had a mad burst of energy when I got home - did some housework, so the place is nice to come down to tomorrow morning, and sorted out an outfit for tomorrow's night out.
I've managed a liquid fast today. Last drink of tea then off to bed. It's not been too bad today but I've been busy and had work to do this evening. I hope the scales and tape are kind tomorrow. Night all x
I really battled yesterday (Thurs). I weighed myself and had put on nearly a kg. First time I've put on weight (other than the up/down variations of a few hundred grams day to day). Think it depressed me, because I've been working on "don't mind if it's very slow, as long as the trend is down".

Been considering 4:3 and 16:8 on not fast days, but when I look back, I think the difference is I haven't done much exercise. Normally I'm pretty active, but the cold tends to depress me and make me hibernate. I haven't done HIT for a few weeks now (I was doing it 1-2 times a week, tabata style), I haven't been for a bush walk for a few weeks, haven't managed to get to derby training (skating), even dog walks have been more of the shorter, flat rather than long hilly.

So now I've got a timer next to me, and it goes off every 25 min and I'm going to do something. Anything active. I've got a standing desk, which helps, because you're already dynamic, but I think I'm just standing still feeling cold and sorry for myself, so with the timer going off all arvo yesterday, it was a really good reminder to DO something. Squats, lunges, go outside, just be active for a brief spell. Will add in more HIT sessions and get back to my activities, and banish cold and winter from my thoughts.
Good luck with the extra activity Katamac - its definately paying off for me

New PB on the scales this morning - hurrah ! And buzzing with energy, both last night and this morning, with at least 7 hours good sleep in between. Its not yet 7.00am and I've baked 24 cup cakes, washing on the line, and had a cooked breakfast. Will have all my jobs done before the kids wake up.

I'm out tonight for a social at the pub, and I tried on a long dress from last summer, which is too big now, but still lovely. I've found a really wide belt, which looks great with it, but the belt is too big   I put a new hole in, but still too big   So I'm going to machine a tuck in it.

Good luck everyone fasting today, and bring on the weekend !
Fri night here, just settling in with a glass of wine!! Isnt this a great WOL.

Managed a 36 hr liquid fast, a 450 cal fast, and 16/8 in between, and the scales have stayed the same as last week. Sometimes I notice it can take a week for my weight to catch up, so keep on keeping on.

Mariposa, hope your weight loss was noticed in your great pants!!
3rd and final liquid fast of the week, dropped 4 pounds in my weigh in earlier this week so definitely paying off! Only another 8lbs to go till goal yay! And very much looking forward to a free non calorie counting weekend :D
Hello. I was directed here from another forum, hope you don't mind the gatecrashing.

I am thinking of doing 4:3 (have been 5:2 the last cpl weeks) but I have a fair bit to lose, so was also thinking of having 1 of the 3 fast days a liquid only fast. So plenty of water and maybe a morning cup of tea.
Hi, welcome and gate crash away
I'm tossing up fasting Monday as usual, or postponing it to Tues because Mon a public holiday here. :?: might decide when I wake up. Didn't eat much today because of a hangover, so may be better leaving it a day, to get some good nourishment in tomorrow (soups!) to make up for it.
