Pre-empted myself failing my repair day today!!

Went to bed hungry last night, woke up hungry and lethargic. Pretty much convinced myself I would HAVE to have a bacon sarnie, but then I remembered..

Friday tomorrow (traditional bacon sarnie morning), and an indulgent weekend ahead

So I've waited, just had my 10am boiled egg and green tree. And am feeeeeeeling gooood (and smug)

Well done katastrofee
I had a similar experience this am. I went to pick up still warm fresh bread for a catering job I have today & the smell in the car was driving me NUTS! However, 2nd fast of the week for me & am enthusiastic as I seem to be finally over the plateau & now so close to goal! Keep at it those on a stall, it's boring not to see any change but fantastic when it does again. This won't happen of course unless you stick at it!!
Good luck everyone.

I'm in again today after a successful fast on Tuesday. I was away on holiday last week and didn't fast. I did however eat my weight in cheese and drink the volume of Loch Ness in red wine

So hopefully back on track this week. Although I feel a wee bit out of focus like I might get a migraine. Hope not as I really want to complete today's fast. Usually a migraine brings on a major carb craving :frown: Will keep well hydrated and have a wee tub of cottage cheese to have around lunchtime

Wish me luck and :clover: to everyone else

I'm in today, green tea till tonight. Salad and fish for dinner, cup of chai, maybe a 10 calorie Jelly and then a 40 calorie hot chocolate before bed. This 2lb up and down thing is irritating me. Bet it is you too seeing as I keep going on about it. I wonder if how much you have to lose is a factor. When I look at the profiles of the fasters with a lot to lose they seem to be doing fantastically well :like:

Gingerfurball, so sorry to hear that, I remember reading your post 3 weeks ago, what a traumatic time for you all, glad to hear that you are back on board :clover:

Mummybunny, I feel your pain ref gaining

Honeybee, one of our gentleman friends said that plateau doesn't exist  I am wondering if it's a Venus and Mars thing. Only time and a few more people on board will tell. Would love to hear if any men suffer from it or if it is just a girl thing

Good luck everyone :clover: see you on 16:8 tomorrow. I reckon I will be 9st 13lb by the weekend. Wait...... Is that a flying pig I see?

Hi everyone, new to the fasting threads but I've been doing 5:2 for around 1.5 months now (had a week off for my birthday!)

Not getting anywhere really, I managed the fast on Monday and am confident I'll stick to it today. Wish me luck guys...

I am. I've had a piece of toast and marmite, and my plan is to have a tall skinny iced latte from starbucks when I pop into town with my son in a bit. Then nothing til dinner which will be a tomato based pasta sauce served over shredded cabbage.

Then I have my hula hooping and abs class which will burn off some calories.

Bring it ON!

I am actaully feeling good about my fast today. Drinking loads more water which i think is helping. Nothing until 12 when I'll have weight watchers soup and a thin with cheese, then chilli tonight!

Thing is my stomach is making some strange noises (even though I feel OK) very embarrasing sitting in the office!

Morning all!
I'm getting through the am on lemon water, Bovril and coffee, though I'm nibbling on a some dulse right now. Lunch is a roast broccoli and chilli soup that I made a few weeks back - husband wasn't keen on it so I froze the remainder. I wonder if it would be OK cold? Dinner tonight will be a sort of omelette with mushrooms and yellow pepper. And as it's a lovely evening I will relax on the deck with a fake Pimms (splash of balsamic and angostura in soda water with leafy garnish)

Good morning Guys,
Thurs 6th June = 2nd Fast of 1st Week

It was my 25th Birthday yesterday so i had a lovely Indian for dinner and now i am finding it so hard to fast today, my stomach is screaming for food! Its definately better to eat less on non-fast days just to save this pain.

With only fruit for lunch at 12 at no dinner until i am home at 8pm - today may be a struggle.

Hi everyone, count me in as well. I'm a bit late posting today, have found myself bits of things to do this morning, instead of just sitting. DHHas has an op on his foot, so he's sitting with his foot up for 10 days, very tempting to join him. Just had 2 crispbread with Philly lite...100 calories, then tonight I.m cooking the Kashmiri curry posted on here the other day...200+ calories, I'll have it on a bed of cabbage, then an options hot choc about 8pm....fasting blood tests tomorrow am, seems silly now to think that before 5:2 I would take a piece of toast with me to gobble immediately after the test.
Temperature here in Franceat 26 today, our outdoor pool is all cleaned and ready, so thats me ready for a swim.
Have a good day, everyone

Thursday faster here, and I'm feeling good but incredibly full after a cuppa soup lunch O.o. Also feeling good about myself because there has been a big buffet at work and I haven't had a crumb!!

Thank you Melanie, I had completely forgotten about the fake Pimms, now to find the Angostura ! Just sucking on a sugar free Werthers with a black coffee before heading back into the garden - still not showered and in my running kit as it is the perfect gardening gear

Well done, TayTay. I have to confess that I still find buffets a great temptation, so good for you!

My husband and I are fasting today. This morning has passed on four mugs of black tea, which is how I normally drink it, so no hardship there. Thursdays are when I host our U3A Accordion group, so that keeps me occupied for a couple of hours! I have to tidy up and move a bit of furniture before they arrive, so that occupies more time! Since they left I have been perusing the forum and written a couple of posts and now I am bracing myself to visit the supermarket because the cupboards are bare and I need to buy something delicious for dinner this evening. Hopefully, I will stay strong as I pass the bread and cake counter!

Good luck to all who are fasting today. Onwards and downwards!

This is my final fast before going on hol next week. I'm not going to make an issue of fasting while traveling, but I don't anticipate a whole lot of eating out an we'll be doing some hiking, it'll just be the snacks in the car on long drives that'll get me.
