Hubby and I are in as well. We have the leftovers of a south indian veg curry in the fridge. I love fast days where I don't have to cook, and I have a pot of healthy leftovers in the fridge :-)
StowgateResident wrote: My husband and I are in today because we are off to Germany by train tomorrow, hence that change of fasting day for us. Second fast of our 21st week and I have just managed to get back to the weight I had reached before going on a cruise in May and gaining 9 pounds in a fortnight! Two weeks to put it on - four weeks to get it off, so I won't be doing that again! Dinner tonight may be over 500 calories because the fridge needs to be emptied, so probably a fairly random collection of food will be on the table!

Manderley: According to my 'Rosemary Conley A-Z of fat and calories', (Yes, I confess - I used to be a fanatical calorie-counter, but gave it up in week four of this WOE.) Tapioca has 368cal per 100g (uncooked) and 132cal per 100g (boiled). Hope this helps.

To all of those fasting today, some of whom are struggling, keep going! You know it's worth it! Onwards and downwards!

Thank you it really does help (by the way, how do I use the "thank you" thingy on the forum ?) I may not need it as I still am not hungry but in the future I may use it. Strange really to see the difference between uncooked and boiled

Not so cold as monday even if it's raining here (how can you have 30° lornameg, are you sure we live in the same country ?
I've planned a lovely meal for tonight but it does mean that it's all I can think about! Luckily it involves a chicken breast which is still defrosting so I can't cave in and eat it early :D

Happy days everyone :D
Fasting today and finding it unusually difficult. Only had black coffee and water so far. Holding out as long as possible.

I have been doing this for 9 months now and some days it is easy and sometimes hard like today. I will be reading the forums to keep my mind on the job. Good luck fellow fasters.

Thanks, Petravv. I'll be glad when it's over!
Hello
I'm fasting today - trying a different approach to normal & just had 130ish calories of oats so simple for lunch. Usually just have miso soup (20 calories) then wait till tea time.

Hoping this way I will be stricter on myself when I get in from work which is my usual danger time. Tried a liquids fast on Monday and will try another in a few weeks, so wasn't as bad as I expected it to be :)
I am in today, although DH has just suggested going out tonight for a steak as he is away for a few days, so it may be that I will fast untill this evening then do another fast tomorrow.
I'm switching to today also - scheduled a blood donation for tomorrow. Figure I better eat well tomorrow!

Best of luck to you Chook - enjoy the chocolate and ice cream after - and maybe a tylenol?
I am beginning to feel hungry so I may take a 0% fromage frais wich is no fat, full or proteins and only 46 calories. However I hesitate because I wonder if it will not open the hungry door and if it will not be very difficult to not eat anything else before dinner
On 2nd day of Fast, gonna try and stick to it as Monday wasnt great - cheeky wee nibbles at bits n bobs - seem to have got stuck with this and need to get back on track and try and get below 9st 9!!

Aaawww not good
I am having an impromptu fast today to try and get off what I think my end up being a ghastly plateau. I've had a coffee, a handful of roasted chickpeas and a bit of toast. For dinner I'm having ratatouille and haddock, with a salad.
I usually fast today~ went out with friends at lunchtime & had a toasted T Cake and butter (355cals) sooo was gonna have a 16:8 day but I'm not hungry at the mo so going to try & continue.
Drinking loads of sparkling water now that I'm home.

Hope you're feeling better Swedey. Xxx
Thank you for the thank you, Manderley! If you click on the 'thumbs up'icon :like: on the top right of the post of the person you want to thank, then it will turn to a 'thumbs down' and you know that your 'like' has been passed on.

There seem to be a lot of us today who have changed their fast day. What busy people we all are and how great to be able to be so flexible with this WOE!

My packing is (almost!) done and it seems to have turned into an impromptu wardrobe clearing job - not before time! Unfortunately my 20 pound weight-loss hasn't meant new clothes - it just means that the very tight size 14 stretch jeans are now much looser, but not enough to go down a size! The size 16 un-stretchy trousers have had to go but I have size 14's waiting in the wings from my previous thrice-yearly yo-yo dieting! The blouses and shirts are fitting much better though, no more gaping buttons for me!

Enjoy the rest of the day everyone. Keep busy until it's time for dinner and then enjoy every mouthful!
Done

I will wait until diner and will have my fromage frais for desert

Until then I will spend my time on the phone so it should be an easy wait
Finally getting to the end of the day. Not a good one - I haven't eaten anything, but jeez I feel rubbish. And cranky. Going to cook my tuna pasta now.

Still want to cry.
