HI everyone!
I'm in today, too.
Me too. My second fast day. All gone well. No breakfast and nothing else today but just getting a bit restless before dinner time. Thought I'd check the site for a bit of support. Feeling better now - less hungry. I've done well and can manage not eating for another hour or so.
Today is my second fast day of my 10th week. I start with some coffee and then nothing until my soup at dinner. Going really well and very easy so far. 7 more pounds to my goal weight !
Hope everyone is doing well. I am definitely feeling the cold today. Have had most of my cals, am looking forward to an options hot choc a little later. Still hungry but I can live with that.
This is the second fast day of my tenth week! All is going well, except for the fact that I think I hurt something in my back working out yesterday. Ow.

Just coffee so far today. I've found that I really do a lot better if I only drink until dinner, then spend the majority of my calories there.
Have had nothing to eat all day so looking forward to my dinner. For the first time I've had an organic veg box delivered so will be having salad and some fruit for afterwards. Today has been one of my easier fast days.
Hello friends! I'm in today too... 2nd fast this week. Going strong, and measured my waist this a.m. and was so happy to see it go down an inch! Yay 5:2.

Just had some tea and fruit so far. Lunch is a little salad with turkey and dijon. Low cal all day!

Plus, I'm biking to and from work now! It's 6 miles each way and I'm loving it.

Can you tell I feel very positive today? :)
Way to go LittleJoy! Your post just brought a little joy to me. :)
I'm here, doing my first fasting day in several months (off of maintenance and back into weight loss mode, starting today). Doing decent, but I had forgotten about the afternoon snack cravings I used to have on fasting days! Avoiding the chocolate chip cookies and just ate some asparagus that I got from the farmers market yesterday :) Should hold me over until my dinner salad later tonight (I hope lol).
Okay,so I'm in! I am fasting over here in sunny CA, but it doesn't make fasting any easier. It supposed to be 110 F this weekend. I had Spinach egg white omelette for breakfast, watermelon (snack), and chicken for lunch. How am I going to spend my remaining 80 calories? I think I will have more watermelon, but it's not even 2pm here so I have a while to go. This is only my 2nd week, but I have lost 3lbs so far! I normally consume 1270 calories on a non fast day and work out for an hour. I look forward to my fast days because I go walking instead of swimming. I love to swim, but it is nice not to get wet a couple days a week! Anyone on here use the My Fitnesss Pal app? I was hoping for some support, but it seems like most of u are sleeping down under. So best of luck to everyone!
Welcome to the forum Finallylosingit! UK is 8 hours ahead of us and the down under crowd is 17 hours ahead. Usually somebody around. I'm fasting today too. I'm saving all my cals for dinner, it'll be a veg stir-fry with some fish, only a few more hours. :) Lots of people use MFP to log food. Good luck to you! :)
Hi finallylosingit
Hope the rest of the day flies, don't think I d cope with hardly any calories left just after lunch.

I switched to splitting my 500 cals to 2 meals a day eating later and minimal to no cal drinks to tide me through like herbal teas. A current favourite is roobios with vanilla is just seems to have the right notes to satisfy my taste buds. Other peeps just have a main meal at night I'd say they are not turning on that hunger switch as snacking across the day will do that making it harder e.g. The time goes slow with food on your mind

I use my fitness pal just as a food diary as for me unless you are rigorous I think the cals can easily be miscounted. So only a guide for me but it is a handy app.

All the best in your 5:2 journey it is a good WOE
Hi all, late in posting again. I fasted today, same old, same old Thursday fast. In bed now sipping my 40 calorie hot chocolate. Night x

Well, the cookies were stronger than my willpower was ugh, lol. I just had one, so an extra 90 calories not planned. And then I ate a few chocolate covered pretzels too, so I'm probably closer to 700 calories for today. Ah well, still not a bad first day!
Had a great fast day today. Honestly didn't have one pang or thought of food all day. Knew what I was having for dinner when I left for work this morning, Taco Salad. Had Chai tea after my morning walk, Passion tea during the am, the beef special for lunch (beef flavored Herb Ox broth-no MSG or gluten) with a soda, chocolate tea for mid afternoon, and another chai tea after dinner.
