It's my first ever fast day today! I have it all planned out so hopefully it will go well - a bit nervous though!

I'm fasting. I normally fast MWF but was thrown off schedule by a muffin from the best bakery in town on Monday. I didn't plan to make it up, but since I wasn't hungry Tuesday due to the heat, I made that a fast day. Now today and Friday.

I'm avoiding eating during the day in the hope that I'll get some of that "cold" fasting feeling that I hated so much in the winter. And definitely a easier to fast in the heat.

Good luck all! :)

Just had my dinner, mini serve for me. DH gave my culinary creation a tick of approval now tucking into seconds.

Still got to lunch tomorrow to traverse with this fast and with a meeting over coffee booked for tomorrow morning. Am not giving myself too hard a time re calorie count as am in process of getting back into the swing of it all, but all will eventually be revealed on the scales. I was so hungry and looking for that scabby dog and his mate around lunch time and my egg made no dint so made from scratch (eg grinding beans) a coffee and added a teaspoon of virgin coconut oil. Went to coffee tasters heaven and coconut oil did the trick. Pangs gone.

Happy fasting for the late comers.and all the best for newbies

Count me in too, although I am feeling really rumbly and it isn't 11AM yet.

Salad and something for dinner, and possibly bit of something salady for a late lunch to prevent me from turning really grumpy around 5.30 pm

Good luck everyone :clover:

I'm in today. I thought I'd try breakfast and then just water and green tea/black coffee the rest of the day. I usually save all my calories for dinner on a fast day so not sure how this will go... Still, I think I have enough calories left to have some salad later if I can't cope

I'm fasting today, my second of the week, then ready for the weekend. I made a cottage pie last night for the family to eat tonight (I know, it's hardly a hot weather meal but we'll have it out in the garden and it will be fine) and I am just going to have the same size portion as what we give my 6 year-old daughter. Can't be bothered to count calories but I figure she couldn't eat 450+ calories in one sitting, so I should be fine. It's what I've been doing for a couple of weeks now, as my husband gets a little irritated with me having separate meals to him and the kids, and it doesn't appear to have stalled my weight loss.

Will take a long walk at lunch time (City of London to West End, possibly) to pass the time without eating and rack up some more steps on my Fitbit.

Happy fasting everyone!

Well, what do you know? Hubby has just admitted that he is fasting today with me. I didn't realise he hadn't had breakfast, or his usual 10.30 crumpet with marmite.
He isn't overweight, but it will do him good to join me once a week, especially as he has newly diagnosed rheumatoid arthritis.

Just finishing my lunch now and will be busy for the afternoon. Happy fasting!

Yay! I had a great day. Although I am SO jealous of everybody who is complaining about the heat. Fasting in cold weather is HARD, I just want to graze comfort food.
Anyway, like I said, successful day for me. I tried stacking over 75% of my intake for dinner, but now feel a bit uncomfortably full. Very amused when my boyfriend begged a bit of chicken out of my dinner and was amazed that "diet food" could be so tasty. So I guess I'll be making that stirfry again with noodles on a non-fasting day...
All the best to all those in later time zones!

I'm fasting today too. Normally Friday is my day but since I'm going wine tasting tomorrow  thought I'd better go for today instead.

Am working too which I find harder than at home because where I work there are soooo many nice places to eat - you just step outside and you can smell nice things.... so I'm staying in the office and not even poking my head outside and have had my tasty 251cal salad for lunch instead.

Thursday, Im fasting too. Today is my 3rd fast day. Got thru the first 2 ok, always do ok, till about the last hour or 2, but push thru. I find it easy to just keep it simple. Ive had yogurt or some oatmeal for breakfast, a salad with tuna as late as I can, then a fruit, apple or orange at night. Also made some spinach soup last time I still have some, and today going to try a blended cauliflower soup, I found a very easy recipe someplace. So we'll see how #3 goes.

Have a successful fast day all!
