Further to Merlin and friend not knowing each other was there..
Maybe should be a topic.."funny things that happen to friends.."
One day when my friend was flat hunting,i noticed a suitable pad advertised in a local paper...
Rang her and told her to look in her copy of rag...off she went, came back and asked me what page did you say? ... Page 12... What page? Twelve, i said again, thinking how odd,she sounds muffled...again she asked what page?
Then suddenly her voice came thru loud and clear...0ooh sorry i picked up the telly remote instead of the phone,so i couldnt hear you!

Another time, same friend, best friend by the way..talking on the phone and she asked me to hold on while she got something from the garage...ages passed..then i suddenly heard the unmistakable noise of someone washing dishes..I put the phone down.Twenty mins later, she rang back..ooh sorry i forgot i was on the phone!
She gets on the bus endless times and tries to show the driver her bank card instead of her senior bus pass! Very dizzy but heart of gold.x

All quiet in the house now; pups played out!
We'll watch Italy Unpacked tonight - they're in one of my favourite parts, Liguria.

{tag]Candicemarie[/tag] that sounds just like the kind of thing I do too!!

Ooooh thanks for mentioning Penny - may record it though because I too am 'played out' and might not last the programme!

I risked a quick look into the garden today, I daren't walk on the lawn for fear of disappearing into the quagmire, but I have daffodil and tulip stems poking through in the flower beds. I hope they are strong, because we haven't had our winter yet and it could well be a bad spell before the end of February.

@CandiceMarie, you stole my favorite quote. Well, actually since I hadn't used it in my signature yet, you didn't really steal it. It's a good one! I will have to think up another, when I finally put the Christmas Club behind me (ie. get to goal - my tracker line has been effectively horizontal, hovering one to two pounds above goal, since November...)

Just seen first shoots of snowdrops in my backyard today

Daffodils & snowdrops showing in the grass now  but the garden is so soggy & tatty looking & we can't really walk on the grass yet to clear dead stuff away. It has been so mild with all the rain I hope we don't get the snow & frost we had last year. It was so lovely seeing the sun today & the blue sky looked beautiful.

Hi sassies, I haven't been in for a while. Hope all is going well with you. I am creeping along but enjoying the feeling of being in control if not losing much. What extremes of weather across the globe!! It is so hot here in our area of Aus and very very dry. Wouldn't it be good if the excesses could be shared around? I could send some of our heat to northern hem. They could send some rain and cool to me :D
