Darn, i have awful heartburn
My own fault, had two mincies for brekky
I think heartburn and indigestion are very much Senior ailments tho not at all Sassy..along with dicky hearts, limpy legs and making a little grunting noise when you get up off the couch.
I remember being alarmed when i first heard my Dad make the little grunty noise...now its me..the circle of life...

Hi all, thank you so much for the kind welcomes! sorry I haven't posted before, had some computer problems.

Hi patchworkperson, welcome you youngster you.:)

I'm slowly getting back into the swing of things. had a major chocolate binge the other day, my lovely daughter gives me a big box of Ferrero roche every year, and they keep jumping into my mouth. :) I tried hiding them, but I kept finding them. LOL.

happy fasting all. Phyllis

For once a fast day that passed without being freezing, grouching or bad hunger. Hurrah! Just had a delicious bowl of tomato soup (Amy's Kitchen gluten free) and feel warm and full.
Tomorrow we dine with family so there'll be lots to eat :0)
Have spent a couple of hours trawling for a good deal on a monthly contract smart phone but no further forward, just confused :0&. Hoping an offspring might help :0)

Have eaten far too much, visiting for 1st Christmas then son and daughter in law here for 2nd. Will be so happy to go back to 5:2 on Wednesday, in fact will probably be very good Wednesday Thursday and Friday. Have enjoyed the food but not feeling bloated old as I am I never learn.

Hi Ballerina, so THAT'S the problem. :)

hi Azureblue, good for you!! that soup sounds really good.

Hi garnet25, I'm fasting tomorrow, actually looking forward to it too. we will be much more comfy after a couple of fast days, I think.

happy fasting all. Phyllis

Well done Azureblue completing your fast day. I also had a reasonable fast day but I did feel very hungry in the evening but resisted temptation & I checked my weight & have lost 3 lbs so hope it will be the same at my proper weigh in on Saturday. I suspect I have a lot of fluid retention from all the snacks & carbohydrates I ate.
Is anyone really annoyed with sales reductions? I bought presents from Jaeger for family because I wanted to give something different & better quality! But everything I gave is now reduced in the sales & it somehow cheapens them so I am feeling rather disgruntled!!

I find the sales bargains are never the right size or colour.

I had a half full box of Lindor chocolates. I really and honestly can't find them anymore. I think hubby has squirrelled them away 'for my own good'. He's getting a bit 'bothersome', he's doing the 'you'll regret that tomorrow' routine every time I have a treat. Well I don't regret the treats I have, If I have something and its not as good as I wanted I will stop eating it. If its a box of something I don't eat the full box anymore. All because I don't want to turn into the stressed (about my diet and weight) mess I was in before 5:2. It works out really well, no stress means I don't comfort eat, which means the treats really are treats. Not me stuffing my face because I want to feel better. Thats a rather profound thought, I may expand on it and do a blog entry. If I remember of course.

I'm off in a bit, iron of party clothing, and cutting of men's hair, plus getting hubby in the shower. He loves having showers, but its so painful for him that he doesn't have them daily. Thankfully he isn't active so he doesn't get sweaty or stinky. But there is so much about his life that I have pity for, and pity is an emotion that should not come between a couple.
