So far today, it's dry, AB, but we certainly do seem to have had an awful lot of rain this winter. Always conscious of it as we have a stream at the bottom of the garden. Lovely to sit by in the summer, but not so nice when it's a swirling muddy torrent!
We haven't seen our woodpeckers either this year. There is a family of feral cats living in the neighbours' gardens. They (the cats, not the neighbours!)won't dare come over here because of the dogs, but I fear our wildlife is much depleted and the RSPCA can't/won't do anything.

In my apple tree today are 5 collared doves, 6 goldfinches and half a dozen sparrows. It's where the 4 feeders hang :0)

And me too - my immediate thought of course.
@Azureblue, you need to whip out the camera when you see such a scene, so you can share with us!

On my mac, @Azureblue, when you "save as" you have the option to save at a lower quality - ie less pixels. Someone else would have to say if a PC works the same.

I regularly have 15 to 20 of the duller native birds on our fence eyeing up the bird feeders. Mostly they are sparrows, coal tits, and the duller finches. I love their colours when seen close up, but wet and bedraggled as they seem to permanently be at the moment, they all look remarkable the same.

It's time to remove the shower cap from my coconut oiled hairy head and go wash it in coconut shampoo. Then I'll have my official weigh-of-the-day followed by a cafetiere of good coffee. Even the sun is currently shining \O/
