I'm new as well - this is my first post. I did my first fast on Wednesday and another today, both were no problem. Due to various regular weekly events, I plan to start by doing Mondays and Wednesdays, but may change to Mondays and Fridays.

Mondays and Thursdays for me - the two days I go into the office. We have a canteen at work too - I go out for a walk and often buy myself a little non food treat at lunchtime which breaks up the day nicely and avoids the whole food at work thing. I have one evening meal only.

Good luck!

I love the name Skinny Monday! Tomorrow will be my 3rd fast day and weigh-in. After a family weekend away (gulp). I'll be travelling with work so am ofnot quite sure how to handle my tea. Might look for some sort of LF SAlad to take on the flight with me. Thursday would be my next D but i will still be away. To keep things simple I'm going to fast on friday instead.
Hope both our Skinny Mondays go ok

So.....we're halfway through skinny Monday here in the UK! How's everyone feeling?

I'm hungry! But really looking forward to a big dinner later. I'm having two quorn fillets, mushrooms, tomatoes and spring onions with a salad. Can't wait.

Keep with it people, we can do it!

BTW- weigh in day for me today, I lost 3 pounds this week! 13.5lbs off in 7 weeks! That's motivation enough for me. :victory:

Hi, yes Monday and Thursday work for me. I sometimes change for Wednesdays if people from work are meeting up for a drink on Thursdays but I find I get REALLY tired on Wednesday...think it's too close together?

That's brilliant Pirateship! :like:

Madgeless - I do mon thurs too, unless I need to swap. I think only one day between fasts is a bit short, but I'll do that if I need to, it's only occasionally, after all.

I've just got home and am feeling pangs!! My busy morning helped, but I definitely need to distract myself now. Maybe I'll go in the garden, though the builders have the cement mixer going and it's very windy out there. Yep, I'm going cos my tummy is now really rumbling and I can ignore it if I'm busy pottering! Roll on stir fry time, no food till then...

Hello everyone!
Skinny Monday went great for me, no problem at all! Thought it may have been beginners luck, but I had no urge to binge afterwards, and I'm just coming to the end of Skinny Thursday with no pangs.
Feeling good and will be interested in my weigh-in on Sunday.

Well done everyone, love the idea that we're all in this together

Hi mummy, I am really impressed, you've done so well. The first few fasts can be really difficult. And no binging!!!

My advice to you would be that it takes 4/6 weeks to really settle into this new way of life. For me personally I still have the occasional binge and I do put weight on (take a look at my progress chart) and I do get disheartened at that. Overall my weight has and is going down and it is a long term thing. The biggest thing that has helped me is the support and information from the forum.

BTW I fast Monday and Thursday but this week I had to change to Tuesday and Thursday and although I was bit worried about it I had no problems.

Hey missus, thanks for your kind words! I was wondering about occasionally having to swap days - did you find that just one day between was tough?
