Here's to Skinny Monday!!

Hello all
I'm starting the fast diet on Monday (15th April) and need all the help I can get.... I work at somewhere that serves lunch!!! Think I'll be super busy and stay at my desk next week.

I'm planning on doing a Monday/Thursday fast, any thoughts on whether certain days are more successful?

Welcome to the forums!

I personally think Monday/Thursday is ideal. We can't do those two days though, because hubby has a standing lunch meeting every Thursday. so we do Mondays and Wednesdays

I was going to do Wednesday, but its recently become our 'Date Night' and that usually means a bite to eat somewhere...... :-)

I do Tuesday and Friday. Mainly because I'm usually at home on those days, I don't want to fast during the weekend and I do want to feel thinner on Saturday when I go out.
It was more of an... elimination method. No weekends (I go out, watch the footy, drink something), no Thursdays (it's the day of my radio show and there are many good places to eat near the studio), no Wednesdays (I visit may parents) and no Mondays because I don't always wake up at home.

I do Mondays and Thursdays, mainly so that I can relax and enjoy the weekend and not have to worry about not eating... So far it seems to be working well.

I have had some trouble with binging on my feast days, but I think that is due to external stresses and wanting to eat as a way to avoid other things. My stomach can't tolerate the binging. It really has made me feel quite ill a few times. I am working hard to stay away from my problem foods like bread, french fries, chocolate and cheese. God I love that stuff...

I've also had to stop shopping on fast days because it leads to buying said problem foods and then binging the day after.

Binging is something I'm really worried about. I get the 'red mist' when I'm hungry and just go mad - chocolate and cheese are two of my absolute favourites too.

I'm really hoping I can stick with this so I can feel in control - I'm strong willed when it comes to so many other things, but not food.

Seems a lot of us do mondays and thursdays! Can you take your lunch in to work. My mum used to do that - she had a standard lunch she'd take on fasting days so she didn't even have to think about it.

It's always a good idea to take your lunch to work (fasting or not) since that way you are fully aware of what you eat.

Hooray for skinny Monday! I like that. Monday is my weigh in day and so far it has indeed been skinn-ier Monday! About 10 lbs off so far in 6 weeks. I've only managed to fit one fast in this week so I'm fasting today (usually do Mondays and Thursdays). Feeling a bit hungry but only 6 hours til dinner time. :victory:

Tuesdays and Thursdays work well for me. I try not to drink alcohol on weekdays, so that means Monday is often a below par day after wine on Sunday, and Friday evening is the start of my weekend (more wine)so that leaves me with Tuesday and Thursday.

Yes, I like Monday and Thursday, too. Monday feels good for a fast, since I've usually had lots
to eat and drink on the weekend. I have meetings with snacks on Wednesday so Thursday is easier for me.

My fasts have been going well, it's my feast days that is my current challenge. Like some of the other posts, I've been overdoing it with the chocolate on my off days. Still losing, but I know it's not the best way to eat.
